Thanks for that, Dan. This was a very useful overview. I love what you did with the modifiers. Question: how much control over the modifiers in Blooper does one have with an expression pedal in a live situation? Sometimes when I watch an artist perform live with loops and lots of outboard gear, the performer’s focus tends to shift from the audience to their equipment, which can be distracting as a watcher and listener. I find being able to modify parameters on the fly with an expression pedal allows the performer to maintain eye contact (and often emotional contact) with the audience.
The Blooper has an expression pedal input, and you can assign various parameters (such as the Mod A and Mod B knobs) to be controlled that way. Chase Bliss is known for their impressive deployment of dip switches...I'll definitely do a video on this somewhere down the line. Additionally, pretty much every function of the Blooper can be controlled via midi, which is a world unto itself.
Another great presentation. It's been a little more than a year since this. Is the Bloopers still the best pedal for this, or have new effects arrived on the scene since then? Thanks!

Thanks for this video series on Blooper. Those modifiers is what is getting me exciting about this pedal. I've developped a few tricks to make loops evolve with my Ableton based rig but Blooper make a way better job, and in a more immediate way. Have you tried to use it alongside your Ableton rig yet, feeding it with Blooper's goodness ?
Not yet, but that's coming! I've been pretty focused on just getting fluent with the Blooper as the primary looper. I can imagine a setup where I have both the Blooper and the Hexe Revolver feed Ableton.
If it’s the only looper on my pedalboard, I’ll put it almost last...just before reverb and delay. If I’m also using something like the Hexe revolver then I might try the Blooper in the effects loop of my Fryette Power Station. Generally speaking I always like to have a few effects after whatever looper I am using because it helps glue the loops and the guitar together sonically, and also it gives me options to change the sonic landscape of the loop if I want too.
@@oceanographic I see. Personally, I've only ever used one looper at a time, currently using the EHX 22500. I usually have it at the end of my signal chain. Watching your video kind of inspired me, but I'm not sure the Blooper would work well with the 22500 as it doesn't have midi capability. Anyways, thanks for the video.

Yes. This is possible via a dip switch on the back of the pedal.
