2 years after these vids came out I’m sat studying this game , I would always just hop on and summon then leave and never paid attention to the tutorials , thanks dude
this series should have been aired many years ago. the game's mechanics and intricacies are quite overwhelming for new players, far beyond other gacha games.
@@Toadskii but you've made so many fantastic videos for beginners already. It's just the amount of people that just want to be spoonfed answers shows they are too lazy to watch the videos you've taken the time and effort to make that give them the answers to their questions if they had bothered to watch them in the first place.
started playing 2 days ago and this video really helps. I didn't understand the slots at all until now. Even though I constantly play Dokkan and Legends, those games are simple to understand. I feel like OPTC is very overwhelming and it can put people off.
One quality of life update they should do is to be able to change crew members and captain after selecting a friend captain or put a refresh button on selecting friend captain. It takes some time finding helper if you are not high enough pirate level.
Yeah right? They could implement some tandems with all the batches they get out... Remember germa batch? You can't tell me a tandem with a germa crew wouldn't be fun :)
Does the order in which you attack with characters matter? Say I click all 6 units from weakest to strongest attack stat, or vice versa, does my overall damage change assuming no character has an "attack last" cremate ability?
I played OPTC on day 1, the old arlong times, and came back to the game for collecting reasons.. it feels like a hundreds of times already but everytime I come back I rarely do any content, just use my gems I have and pull. The game is really the worst game in terms of making players actually want to play the game once they hit harder content. It's so tedious to think about going into a stage blind without knowing what to expect, when and who does what type of special, which is crucial to know exactly when to stall for your specials and such. And now, the game just has so so much more shit even, it's insane. You really don't even wanna try to attempt a stage. So why even wanting to build your units. I was heavily burned out of the games many times and had this part of the game already behind me but I just realized this issue once again.. after how old is the game now? 10years+? And it's still so unpleasant to play the actual challenges. You either have to watch a guide video or on reddit or whatever where someone mapped out every turn what and when every enemy does so you can build your team accordingly but, how are you supposed to casually play and enjoy this game on the fly? Going into a harder challenge, blind, fail a good few times in the earlier stages to figure out how and what to do and what team really work for just those few early stages to then get 1 single turn further and fail a bunch of times again, and so on and so on until you reach the last stage to really figure out yourself what team you can use (if you even have those right units to that time, surprise surprise if you miss 1 key units, wasted 50attemps to figure the stage out yourself) Unless there is a very detailed information for each quest now that I'm overseeing on each quest. But even if then it's really hard to find, especially for completely new players. There is the "Quest Guide" tab on every challenge but you can only see the enemies that you are fighting in this stage, that's it, you can click the characters in this "Quest Guide" tab but it only openes up the normal character information of the unit just like you have them in your box, nothing about the whole challenge itself, which turn is who, what he does etc. It blows my mind how this game with such a nice IP, that runs for a decade still has such a bad gameplay concept. Seems like no new players are playing if none of them complain enough, if this is still not addressed to this day. I guess those that still do actively play are from back then as well and are ok with having to watch guides for this shit. In this regard it's seriously THE worst gacha game I've ever played, and I say that with a heavy heart because I loved OPTC as a day1 player and love One piece to death. It's just sad. the gameplay could have been more accessible by now.

Yeah exactly. That's why we needed a series like this to assist new players. Thankfully we're on the case now.

Ayy! RogersBase! Loved your video man! Keep up the great work! I hope you'll upload more OPTC content :)
Wow, this is an awesome series. I'm glad it's being done by multiple content creators, I'm interested to see everyone's takes on this tutorial!
This is definitely the most concise lesson on OPTC battle mechanics out there. Thank you for the help!
Can't wait for the Premiere! Really loved the first Episode done by RogersBase and am excited to see how this series continues!
Woggers. Excited for this series

Great video as always
That game is kinda interesting imma download it later
Great guide
Are they also uploading this videos in the official bandai channel? They should. At least when the series is over.
Thank you
Also it’s the first time I see the tandem mechanic lol
Hahaha I bet a lot of people are in the same boat as you homie!
Lesson time on all buffs and debuffs please.
The tandem mechanic, hahaha lmao almost forgot that was a thing

What about the shields that don't count down..
Some enemies have a shield how do I beat them
😊
Luffy x Nami at the end GGWP :)
Can someone explain what does
STR, DEX, QCK, INT, and especially PSY means
Can I beat the story mode with just the weakest characters if I use all in-game resources to upgrade them?
Does the order in which you attack with characters matter? Say I click all 6 units from weakest to strongest attack stat, or vice versa, does my overall damage change assuming no character has an "attack last" cremate ability?
I have the exact question
I've been playing since 2014 and I saw that captain ability button. I've been just letting the words slowly scroll past like an idiot.
Anyone know where to find the list or anything tandem related in game?
How do you activate the boost effect? Where it reduces the special charge by 15 turns and increases attack 2x?
Bro i forgot how to caombo
If are new to OPTC and want to play it, I highly recommend using MODS, you will save yourself so much time :D
whats the point of cheating in a mobile game :D
Am i the only one that regards PSY and INT and "Psychical" and "Intellect" idk why
I thought TND slots are dead and a remnant of past times.
TND mechanic???? Been playing optc since July 2021 and never saw or heard of this mechanic. Must be useless
Actually it was canceled due to Japanese gacha law very early on but when it was a thing it was decent
