Pono knows those KID/pirc positions better than anyone else now playing. He found his love and never let go. Grischuk thought he was clever by inviting Pono to a Barry Attack, but Pono ended up in a Pirc structure and played very actively. Congrats
both are so good, my god..!!tactic, strategy, is amazing that that ending, black es better, even with a pawn down, h4 is a mistake, that makes black a pass pawn, but, is hard to see it!
Brilliant play....
Ponomarev is really strong playr
Ponomariov is great technical player I would like to play like that :)
*Excelente partida, la he disfrutado. Sigan subiendo partidas de alto nivel.*
Excellent stuff from Ponomariov
Thank you for posting this video. A nice game and surprisingly easy to follow even for me a weak amateur.
Their hands were trembling towards the end.

5:17 its really really blunder for gm. intead of rook much better take bishop on e2 when recaptured the knight thent took the rook on d1!!
Any idea the name of the set they're playing with? As in, the make of the pieces?
classic staunton traditional
why didnt take knight the bishop on e2 check ,??! its mate .when recaptured the knight then follow the rook captured on d1 checkmate. black is blunder
Why didn't the guy moving his pawns up move another useless pawn and his rook, when he could've queened.
Finally a NORMAL HANDSHAKE in chess.. rare to see these days.. usually it's a weird-open-palm-touch-of-a-hand-thing.. weeeeeird.

Еще проще h2 на 8:10.
На h2 Лс6+, потом Лс7+, размен ладей и Слg2
Grischuk let him win.
