@abesal00 -- Puros milagros......BRAVO desde Acapulco!
Bellissima composizione !
Grazie

This concerto dates from the last creative period of Ginastra. he ended his "nationalist" period and chose a more international style. This score does not use the avant-garde language, it is much more classic than that, but it is very beautiful, with deep themes and songs. The cello is more often on the forefront.
I would like to add that several composers in XXth century weote two quite different cello concertos: Jolivet, Shostakovitch, Schnittke
Thanks
Esquisitez al máximo
I allways knew that a composer by the name of Ginastera existed but I somehow never gave him a shot. Now I just did and I truely do not regret! What a nice piece. I suggest that you create an account on the boosey and Hawkes site. Thgen you can access the score to this piece and many more for free!

Happy birthday Alberto.
Wonderful!! Who made the picture? It's also very beautiful!
Mad!
My classical piano teacher did not like Ginastera. He once told me: "Playing a 'chord' with a fist, I don't know about that..."
so... your teacher never actually took the time to listen to Ginastera's work. some people, it's like once they associate any kind of artist with 'modernism,' they waste no time in condemning their entire body of work with some cute one-liner" i.e. my 5 year old could do this".. "making chords with fists" etc... it's not a very convincing argument.
Well i hope you stopped taking lessons from him because it just shows how narrow-minded he is and how limited his techniques are
boh !
So Bill Belichick, my uncle, and my grandmother are ALREADY older than that guy! He was only a day older than George Washington! One day!
If it evokes all that in you, than it is quite evocative. :-)
