You mean authentic, not amateur. Nothing amateur about both of them, I feel not enough attention gets paid to how well their acting actually is, all of their videos are incredibly believable.
I think they're intentionally done this way because they're very reminiscent of the early days of youtube back in 2006-2009 although a lot came after that as well. It was a time before asmr and unintentional asmr were even a thing, when people just uploaded demonstrations of random healing practices, chiro sessions, massage and medical instructional videos. They all had this exact same format and it was great unintentional asmr. Some good examples of this amateur style are the diamond therapy session, the esoteric healing and diana's alexander technique

This is the best cleansing ASMR that I’ve seen in a very long time. The rock sounds and how deliberate your hand movements are totally gave me the tingles!!
Love the sounds of the stones and your hands against Jeremy’s shirts. I never used to like those sounds much in other ASMR videos but for some reason it really works in your videos. I think it’s because the sounds are not slow and drawn out. It’s intentional. I can’t explain it well, but I like it a lot!
I love how you talk. I get *so* much more asmr/relaxation from soft talking over whispering. I'm also HoH and with louder taking, captions work (fairly) well. Thank for you making content that we can enjoy!!

I strongly dislike “high quality asmr” with fancy lighting, mics etc. more natural asmr is the best and no one can convince me otherwise. Sometimes the best asmr is filmed with a phone

I thought you might like to try doing a video as a masked ASMR Superhero. The viewer would be injured or distressed by a villain, but you would show up to help, using your superpowers of ASMR. Throughout the video, the viewer would ask who you really were, but you would tell them how important it is that you wear your mask, and keep your identity a secret, but, at some point, you would trust the viewer enough, to unmask yourself and show them who you really are. I think it could be really fun, and you would do an awesome job.
