Me too am a die hard fan of tummbad movie....Told many of my friends,some of them realized (after watching it on DVD) later what a masterpiece they had missed...Please release it once again.....
I think both will have amazing impact on people and in history of movie making. Prequel can be started with Daadi on how she became cursed going after the gold coins and/or introduction of Hastar and sequel can be started with the son leaving the Wade and why he has to come back for more. Either way, there are pieces left to give a genuine start!
A very underrated film that got sandwiched between Stree, Andhadhun, Sui Dhaga and Badhai Ho. It was a profitable film at the end of the day for sure. 12 crores against a budget of 5 crores including publicity expenses. But yeah it deserved much bigger success than the one it got. Hope to have more of it in the form of some franchise or something.
If someone after 50 years would revisit this era, he will bow towards the sheer genius of this movie. He will be Tumbbad as we are now. And will be forever...

Best piece of art ever made in India. It's one year but I am unable to get myself out of The TUMBAAD world. Great piece of acting by Soham sir, Great story, Great direction, Great Production designing, Great background score, Great song by Ajay-Atul. It's a nostalgia. Thank you Tumbaad team.
I went alone and watched Tumbadd in a theatre, why, bcoz my wife wasn't home and i was bored and decided to watch some movie and saw tumbadd just by chance, but what a an experience it had been. And then onwards i was the biggest proponent of the movie in my friends circle, made all of them watch it. I watch it every now and then and it never bores me.. such a masterpiece!
I feel cheated now and disgusted when I saw that crap "laal kaptaan" with huge expectations since in trailer of movie they mentioned "from the makers of Tumbaad". But now I realized that Tumbaad is masterpiece because of director Rahi Anil Barve who put everything in this single project.

The short story of dadi (soja varna hastar aa jayega) is one of the famous Marathi horror stories by prolific Marathi horror writer Narayan Dharap. I had read the story when I was 10 years old and was terrified to death of Hastar. Tumbbad just brought that horror to life. Kudos!

Daadi was supposedly the fastest in going in and out of the womb. It would make a good film

When I saw this movie, all I was thinking for next two days was only this film.. it’s a precious gem 💎 in the crown of the Indian film industry.
The short story of dadi (soja varna hastar aa jayega) is one of the famous Marathi horror stories by prolific Marathi horror writer Narayan Dharap. I had read the story when I was 10 years old and was terrified to death of Hastar. Tumbbad just brought that horror to life. Kudos!
Vinit Sankhe dharap sir copied this story form Stephan king tv series grandma, fortunately it’s available on u tube by name grandma
