A Little Freedom: Slave Runaways in North Carolina, 1775-1840

Dr. Freddie Parker, former chair of the History Department at North Carolina Central University, will present a talk based on his research on runaway slaves in North Carolina. He is the author of the books Running for Freedom: Slave Runaways in NC, 1775-1840 and Stealing a Little Freedom: Advertisements for Slave Runaways in NC, 1791-1840.
