The 1stage climbs from inertia to reach the top of the parabola without consuming fuel and then descends from inertia also without consuming fuel until it is necessary to brake. Otherwise a very large amount of fuel would be needed. It's a simplistic explanation, but I think it's helpful

      It's derived from Iain Banks' Culture series of novels, in which artificially intelligent, sentient robots, which included spaceships and many other things, chose names for themselves that were of this form - largely ironic non-sequiturs.
      Poor Iain died of pancreatic cancer a few years back. One of his last actions was to marry his long-term partner, soon after he was given only a few months to live. Somewhat apocryphally, he apparently proposed with the words "will you do me the honour of becoming my widow". A fantastic author and by all accounts a bloke who lived his life to the fullest. Something of the Hemingway of science fiction.

    • @busterhoodstar6598
      @busterhoodstar6598 ปีที่แล้ว

      @party4keeps28 If you understood business at all, you'd be able to answer my question with something meaningful.
      These people are spending billions to operate. Adding additional cameras wouldn't add much to the bill. Looking at the footage of this video, I can say that factually, it could easily be misrepresented or faked using software.
      How about a few 360° cameras showing more than the "ass" of the rocket? 360° cameras would give a much more complete footage. 360° cameras have been on the consumer marker for 20+ years. Do this so we can see more than just a downward view and some thrusters in action. I could replicate this footage provided on any cheap ass laptop that has decent software.
      What bullshit this is.

    • @party4keeps28
      @party4keeps28 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Buster HoodStar I did lol. Money and time is the answer. There are no pros to adding more cameras, only cons.
      Edit: They don't care how people like you feel about the footage. You don't matter.

    • @busterhoodstar6598
      @busterhoodstar6598 ปีที่แล้ว

      @party4keeps28 Thank you. There it it is. There are no pros to adding more cameras because visual information is being withheld.
      It's already been proven that the government and its associates withhold or/and alter/delete video/camera footage from other planets and in space.
      I'd have to be full of shit like you to accept the weak-ass answer that you've provided.
      If someone showed me video footage of a vehicle drag racing on a strip and I could only see the rear of the vehicle and ground using up the entire frame, I'd be saying the same.
      Give me footage of more than just bullshit and some graphics in the lower portion of the sceeen. Give us a view of space and things surrounding the rocket. Because this crap doesn't pass mustard.
      What else do you have for me? So far, all your gibberish is pretty weak.

    • @party4keeps28
      @party4keeps28 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Buster HoodStar Nasa color corrects footage because their cameras don't work like the one on your phone. If you learn how light works then it'll make sense.
      What you don't seem to understand is that the people at SpaceX have no need to prove anything to skeptics like yourself. The footage they get is good enough and it would be a waste of money and time to do what you see fit.
      As I said before, if you understood business you'd know what I'm talking about. Business is all about allocating resources such as money, time, and people. To do what you want would be a 100% complete waste of resources with no benefit whatsoever. I can help you understand with a simple question: How would it benefit them to add the cameras you'd like implemented? Just to be clear, I'm not asking how it would benefit you, I'm asking how it would benefit SpaceX.

    Amazing, figure that Elon Musk can cut personnel cost for just 15 minutes work! 😮😮

    This never gets old. THIS is the company Elon should be focusing on - not that nonsense over at Twitter. He is crapping all over his legacy. His mother needs to dope-slap him. Cher said it best with her slap: "Snap out of it".

    I wish Space X would put live cameras on their satellites so people could view the feeds just in case a UFO is spotted then the US government and NASA couldn’t the the feed or cover it up!

    Did anyone notice this object moving at a high rate of speed as if it was pulsing through the atmosphere way below the return stage rocket? th-cam.com/video/R1OYIZ4i1fs/w-d-xo.html

      Reflection of the sun on the camera lens cover. Notice it moves precisely with the rotation of the booster?

    • @TheKoolaidekidd
      @TheKoolaidekidd ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MeerkatADV Are you referring to the second one (reflection). There was one initially that went fast, then another which maybe what you referred to as the reflection. You have to look immediately when the video starts.

      @TheKoolaidekidd are you talking about the RCS thrusters? Thats how the booster maneuvers in vacuum. Literally not seeing anything unusual in the footage.
