"Look at that! I have a whole clean sh.... ok whoops that's trash... whole clean shelf." lol Glad you are doing the healthy thing and getting rid of the stuff you don't need anymore. I have this sort of collector/hoarder mentality that wont let me get rid of books I've read, cd's I own, etc. I need therapy.
I have this thing where for some reason I can't get rid of anything. I have been working on decluttering a lot lately, and I just did a HUGE purge of our "spare room". Girl I had binders and binders full of notes from High school! I graduated in 2010!!! Lol. This all started because I have a small house and we literally were out of room. So I feel you! Lol
Omg I still have all my old notes from high school and I graduated in 2011 😂 but they are at my dads house hahah I keep a lot of things too but since we are in a small apartment I HAVE to constantly get rid of things
No hard feelings on the gifted book! I'm not one to judge, I give away most gifts that I get, as awful as that sounds. I'm glad that you were willing to try the book ♥️
"Something about spilling secrets" 😂 I am dyingggg. Do you think we hate books about "secrets" because we cannot relate to the characters because we just overshare at all times? It feels like every time a character is scared of people knowing stuff about them it makes me rage inside. JUST TELL PEOPLE AND DEAL WITH IT
Crying that you got rid of The Elementals, Michael McDowell was amazing! The Elementals is one of his best, alongside the Blackwater series and Toplin (SO disturbing). Short stories are tough for me to get into, too, the exceptions being Clive Barker (In the Hills, the Cities from Books of Blood is mindblowing) & Jack Ketchum (Peaceable Kingdom is a great collection).
Whooops sorry lol I just feel like knowing me I would be bored but I’m sure he’s a great writer since he is well loved. I do plan on still trying Clive Barker’s short stories but ugh idk the thought of reading short story collections just doesn’t do it for me lol
Unfortunately the ones near me are full of children’s books and James Patterson a majority of the time lol so I spice them up with extreme horror apparently
Green looks fantastic on u! Loving the loungewear! Sorry not sorry - lmao. rite! Agree with everything u getting rid of. Now ..... Nope im to lazy. Not doing it!!!! I do get rid of books that i have read but keep the ones that i absolutely love. Thank u for being u! ❤
Hi Meg! Really like your channel it is very informative on these Horror Books. I read The Back Farm very fun to read. .If you give the book a good review then a lot of times I will pick up a copy... Keep up the good work!
I agree about The Exorcist, I read it in 2019 I think and I found it pretty boring unfortunately! I found your channel recently and I'm obsessed! I've been binge watching your videos 😊 I love extreme horror as well but I haven't read that many yet, so it's nice to have all your recs! I read 3 books by Judith Sonnet last year and loved them (Kill Yer Pumpkins, The Clown Hunt and No One Ride For Free)
I picked up a ton of books that I've seen on the personal Instagrams from the people who run Nightworms, and I don't think that they're is a single one that I've given more than three stars. I feel like they tend to recommend books that are slow and literary
This was such an interesting video watching you declutter your bookshelf. It’s like an anti review? Loved it 👍! P.S. I just started Full Brutal by Kristopher Triana based on your many high ratings of it and omg it is SO GOOD!!!!! I finished “Gone to see the river man” a few weeks ago and enjoyed it but I felt it droned on at times and I was finding myself a little bored of the constant descriptions of the wood and the river and just overall felt like it didn’t live up to the hype, but oh my goodness Full Brutal has me HOOKED from page one (I also didn’t like the main character in GTSTRM whereas Kim in Full brutal is much more fun to read) I’ll prob be raving in the comments down the line about how much I love this book but yeah just wanted to lyk! 🫶🏼❤️📕🩸🔪🫶🏼
Meg dismissively tossing books off to the side is my new favorite thing.
This has been a signature move of mine since day 1 😂

Yeah I am that way sometimes with some things until I don’t have room in my apartment anymore and then I’m like PLEASE THROW IT ALL OUT
My book unhaul: "This Lego catalogue from 2004..."
😂
I finished Goblin and I can promise you that you didn't miss anything
That’s what I figured lol
I gave up 100 pages in. Grateful it was only $6 on Book Outlet haha.
"Maybe I'm traumatising people...🤷♂" New tagline for the youtube channel right there lmao
In the little free library full of children’s books 😂
Lol 😆 good one. Not a bad idea. I'm new here, lol. So ya.... I'm excited to watch this 😊

My sister's village has an old phone box where you can swap books. I've got a few at home but keep forgetting to bring them lol
Ooooh that’s a good idea!
No hard feelings on the gifted book! I'm not one to judge, I give away most gifts that I get, as awful as that sounds. I'm glad that you were willing to try the book ♥️
I’m always worried about seeming rude lol but thank you so much ❤️
Yesss! Twilight zone! lol I’m 40 and still watch it! Classic ✨✨
lol my favorite show as a child I would beg to stay up late and watch my creepy shows 😂
The Yeeting of books has me rollin! 🤣🤣
It’s my signature move
You're inspiring me to be RUTHLESS with my small remaining TBR books :)
It’s therapeutic lol
Queen do a podcast I’m begging 😩
Ugh if I didn’t have to work and deal with my medical issues constantly I’d do alllllllll the things!!! I can’t find anyone to do one with me 😩
"Something about spilling secrets" 😂 I am dyingggg. Do you think we hate books about "secrets" because we cannot relate to the characters because we just overshare at all times? It feels like every time a character is scared of people knowing stuff about them it makes me rage inside. JUST TELL PEOPLE AND DEAL WITH IT
Hahahah yesssssss 😂 I’m like oh dear god how do people have this many secrets I could never
I've realized that I don't enjoy short story collections either, with a few exceptions.
Yesss it’s very rare that I enjoy them. I prefer to be fully immersed in a story and you just don’t get that with short stories.
I really should go through my books and do the same. I’m just so lazy 😂 glad you’re clearing up space and hopefully you get to move soon! 🤞🏼
Thank you!! Yeah I hear you I’m the same way lol eventually I got tired of looking at these books 😂
the way your top matches the olipop can we love a coordinated queen
Omg just realized this lol yaaaasssss
The more unhinged the reviews get as the video goes on😂loved it
lol thank you!

I dint have nearly the amount of books you do. I have probably 100 books, but probably closer to like 90 lol. 😊
That’s good though less stuff lying around lol

Fun video as always !
Thank you ❤️
Little Free Library tour sometime?
Unfortunately the ones near me are full of children’s books and James Patterson a majority of the time lol so I spice them up with extreme horror apparently
Glad i found your channel! We have very similar tastes in books. In fact I think we might be the same person! 😂 I subbed!📚
Thank you! I hope we are the same person 😂

Lol thank you!!! ❤️ yeah I only want to keep books I really enjoyed. Otherwise what is the point
@@ReadingWithMeg i also forgot to mention I can't stand short story collections! ❤️
Hi Meg! Really like your channel it is very informative on these Horror Books. I read The Back Farm very fun to read. .If you give the book a good review then a lot of times I will pick up a copy... Keep up the good work!
I really liked that book and I’m glad you liked it too! Thank you so much ☺️

Never Have I Ever by Joshilyn Jackson is one for worst books I’ve ever read so good thing you’re unhauling it 😊
Thank godddddd lol

It’s fine I’m fine this is fine 😂❤️
@@ReadingWithMeg 🤣🤣💛💛
Love your shirt
Thank you!
Hey if people pick up the book without looking them up it’s their problem😂😂
Watch it’s a child 🤦🏻♀️
Meg is my fave...
Left me hanging on dot dot dot
I picked up a ton of books that I've seen on the personal Instagrams from the people who run Nightworms, and I don't think that they're is a single one that I've given more than three stars. I feel like they tend to recommend books that are slow and literary
Me too I just never liked their style of books that were picked I always felt underwhelmed
You are not missing anything by not reading The Lying Game. I finished it out of spite, it was the worst book I read last year.
Yeah that’s what I figured lol her books are usually underwhelming for me in general
First off… short story collections… SAME. Second I love how as the video went on the reasonings behind unhauling these became more unhinged😂😂
It’s just how I do things around here 😂
The more I talk about things I don’t like the crazier I start becoming hahah
I've read White Horse.. you'd probably be bored and underwhelmed by it.
That’s what I thought thank you for confirming lol
19:02 I gave this 2 stars. It was barely a thriller
It was so bad
Ahah, I've just seen Gabby's review about Midnight on Bacon Street on Goodreads and you say the same things ahaa
We generally have similar taste I feel so I am not surprised lol
I have a friend who is IN. LOVE. with Sweet Pea. There are currently four books, there's a fifth coming out.
4 too many 😂
