this was really interesting to watch! although in my case, it would be easier and cheaper to buy them as you said, having just 2 snakes. May i ask you a question? Let’s say i have a 70watt radiant heat panel connected to a pulse thermostat, how much will it consume to mantain a 30C temperature? does it consume less than the regular on/off thermostat? Thanks.

There are a lot of variables that affect power consumption like how well insulated the enclosure is and the ambient room temperatures. The pulse thermostat might be a tiny bit more efficient to run than and on/off but the main benefit is being able to keep a more consistent temperature than the on/off

@ Im sorry, i asked the question wrong. I meant to ask once it reaches the desired temperature, does each pulse consume less than an on/off? Thanks for the reply anyway, love the content :)

@ I’m not sure if I understand your question. Pulse proportional thermostats don’t lower the voltage so the wattage should still be the same for each pulse. 70w panels will use 70w per pulse. Its pretty much an on off thermostat but the rate that it switches on and off is much much faster

@ oh my bad then, i thought every pulse would consume less watts than the on/off ones 😅 all clear now, thanks again for the help :)
