honestly the wii using a more cartoony art style was a smart idea we all know how ass realistic textures look on the wii so even if its a downgrade atleast the art style helps with it
That is so true, few days back I played mario odyssey and even though I already knew this, I realised it much more that 4k resolution, high res textures and anti aliasing is well and good but if the game is innovative and art style is good enough you forget the others.
@@rakshitsrivastava6887 Honestly, a good art style will always be better than cutting edge, to me. It made games like Viewtiful Joe, Jet Set Radio, Wind Waker and the PS2 Shin Megami Tensei games timeless.

I just beat the game on the 3DS and didn't even know it released for other consoles. Wow. The 360's graphics are impressive, but the fact that it's the exact same game in the 3DS is even more so. At the same time, it looks completely different. These guys really made the same game twice to put them in more than just the PS3 and x360 and that's amazing
The 3DS version is by far the most impressive, to think that they put the exact same PC/PS3/X360 game running on the same engine with the same gameplay on a weaker console than the PS2 is not easy.
Of course, the 3DS version is the version with the worst graphics (even compared to the Wii version, the Wii version has better textures, some additional graphic effects and face expression on the characters that the 3DS version doesn't have, one more thing I noticed playing the two versions is that the characters, npcs and graphical details in the 3DS version reduce the frame-rate as you move away from them, something that doesn't happen in the Wii version or any other ) but to think that they make the same game playable on the 3DS is amazing in my opinion, I got this game on the 3DS and I really liked it, the only thing that bothered me was the lack of a second analog stick at times.
It's a shame that with The Amazing SpiderMan they did a worse job on the 3DS version (and a lazy job on the Wii version, they basically just ported the 3DS version without any improvements) and The Amazing SpiderMan 2 is just a 2D game on the 3DS, with Edge of Time I really got the feeling that they did their best on every console the game was released on.
I loved Edge of Time on 360 as a young teen. I rented it and beat it, and then I wanted to get it on 3DS so badly. Even then, I “knew” it would just be a completely different game that happened to have the same name, since that’s all portable versions were back then.
Only now, years later, do I learn it truly was the same game I played on 360 somehow put onto the 3DS but with worse graphics… and I feel even worse for younger me not being able to experience that. It blows my mind now that they managed to put a 360 game on 3DS, I can’t imagine how I would’ve felt back then.
Damn, now I know why the ps3 and xbox 360 versions of this game are so damn expensive, I bought a bundle pack of edge of time and web of shadows for the wii and it only cost me $40
am I the only one who really liked the DS version? of course, it wasn't comparable to the PS/X-Box version. I mean the DS system was like 10x smaller and predates most people on this platform; its almost as old as I am. but the arcade-like way they modified it so it could run on the DS definitely had its charm
I played DS and 3DS versions. DS had more bosses and better gameplay. DS boss fights + PS/X-Box graphic = perfect version of the game in my opinion.

The 3ds version is worth it since you get the same experience as Xbox n ps3 with lower graphics buy just the same story and it’s cheaper

I grew up on the wii version and havent seen any other version of It so the ps3 and xbox versions blew my ass clean off I didnt even know It could look so crisp In gameplay at all

I gotta say, the 3DS version might not be the most visually impressive, but it sure is the most *technically* impressive. While the wii's slightly higher resolution and less "jiggies" make it look clearer and less pixelated, I kinda like the 3DS version a bit more visually.
The Wii version has this strong shadows that, at times, make the scene look jarring (take a look at the menu comparison for both or sloan's face in the first scene). The Wii version is also more saturated, making it look a tad bit cartoony.
Of course, the HD version trumps over both, particularly the Xbox 360 version as i feel some of the textures and lighting don't look to great in the PS3 version.
Overall, cool game, really fun. A bit underrated, even if it's a bit repetitive, the visuals and story are cool.
Was my Wii just different or something because it had the same graphics as like the x box 360 and ps3 when I played this, and shattered dimensions

@@rigb0013 it is running on a higher resolution, you can see it on sloan's face and the title screen, but the ps3 uses more bloom and brighter lightining too, so you're kinda right too.

nah, it's...kinda fun, if a bit repetitive.
It's your typical arcade beat em up, but i dunno why it looks so bad in comparison to shatter dimensions on the ds and ultimate spider-man on the gba.

Hardly even close when games get low resolution. You already saw the hologram better in Xbox 360
Not necessarily. Sure, the processor is better, but Xbox 360 outputs at a higher resolution, you can see this in nearly every multi platform game from that era
That's because the devs didn't know how to tame that Cell Processor and fu*ked up the PS3 port of this game.
I mean, come on, just look at God of War 3/Ascension running on a PS3. That considered, this game should have been a cake walk to run on PS3, but the port work is just a mess.
