I think some parts of the songs were kinda indecipherable and lyrically too complex for the sake of the rhythm (Melovin did the same mistake two years later).

Although the studio version doesn't do it for me, the power he projected during the semi final, tied with the red light change was so good and I rewatch it often. I also liked the revamp of Chains on You and I'm so sad Athena never got to go to Eurovision

She has grown up here in Hamburg, her family lives here still today, so I think the NDR should consider her.

Fly with me is a great song I agree but it missed that oomph that Eurovision needs. It only got different in the last 30 seconds or so which by then many people got bored already. Most Eurovision fans have the attention span of a 4 yo lol so you gotta get their attention since the beginning.
I Reals liked 2016, but Evita tend to go for drama. I remember there being some political drama behind the scenes and also she was pissed that Germany didn't gave her a free pass because she lives oder lived there and wanted to compete for Germany too.
