Goose is not too bad for winning races in classic mode, but once Stingray overtakes you, it's over.

It's cool that in a difficult racing game like this, they added in an even harder mode. And I'm not being sarcastic; even though I'm bad at the mode right now, it's fun how unforgiving it is

Unfortunately, yes.
Imagine being a golden fox with the same amount of boosts as everyone else, and the worst top speed. Kinda hard to win against human players with that machine now, I would guess.
If you play fox in classic mode, you are a masochist!
Fox is the worst in Classic, but it can be competitive on certain tracks. Most prominently, the Death Winds and White Land I.

左右、重心移動、アクセルをオフする感じが掴めません。
余裕があったら解説をお願いします。
基本的にはアクセル押しっぱなしで方向キーをちょんちょん押すだけで大丈夫です。きついカーブではアクセル離しながら重心移動がオススメです。
ビッグブルーで例えるなら、マップ右下の急カーブではアクセル離しながら重心移動して、それ以外の場所はアクセル押しっぱなしで大丈夫です！
I think classic mode is better, it’ll take more skill and players will need to be more strategic with their boosts, plus there’s no skyway to catapult you up the ranks near the end of a race.
I was surprised how narrow the tracks are. I personally prefer 99 mode. I found the classic races less dynamic.
It doesn't take more skill, but just as much skill as the 99 Modes. A Skyway doesn't automatically catapult you into a top spot. There is a lot of techniques to be learned in 99 Mode, and boosting at the right place and the right time isn't different there. Classic is stripped down, which makes it more unforgiving for sure. But they are both very tough to win in if you play in stacked lobbies
Don't underestimate how complex F-Zero 99 is. The new mechanics are fun and layered
