The level of natural talent here, including all the rotations of major roles, is astounding. These voices aren't "manufactured", they are born.
@@teri6667 let’s not throw all the singing training all of them have had to do to the side just to say their skills were born. They’ve all honed their craft, and worked on it a lot. Voices like theirs are born through some natural skill, yes, but most of it is hard training and practice.

And the way Alfie in turn gives tribute to Colm at the final note--nice to see such a formidable group of talent showing genuine respect and admiration for each other.
When Colm held that final note, he meant to put his hands together in prayer (like in the 10th Anniversary), but J.O.J.'s mic stand got in the way. It was more obvious in the DVD version

I think Colm feels JOJ is the rightful heir (and he is correct). Alfie can belt. He misses the nuances that both Colm and John invoke in the role (and I have seen both John and Alfie perform this on more than one occasion.)

Wow. I watched this repeat last night and had goosebumps when Colm sang but, when Alfie joined in with that key change, the tears flowed.
