I didn't know that you had a primitive channel and I just came upon it and immediately subscribed!!!! I absolutely love your videos and will always be watching! Keep up the great work. Love it all and will be going to your playlist to catch up. See you next time!
I did the reverse of this to make spice jars to go into a cubby. I grubbied up the jar lids and left the jars clear. I used old book pages with clear sections to cut my labels from then aged the edges before decoupaging the labels onto the jars. Turned out fantastic.
Love your channel. I've used used tea from old tea bags and coffee grounds. Once some sawdust soaked in coffee. I like it, but was concerned about the flammability of the sawdust if some used a live flame. It made a nice grub though.
I don't have any essential oils, but I would love to get some and put it in. I bet it would enhance the smell so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the grubbys. 😊
I love this. it reminds me of a line in that song "The Legend of Wooley Swamp" by Charlie Daniels. "They found the old man out in the back with a shovel in his hand And thirteen rusty Mason jars he just dug up out of the sand." Besides the creep factor of that part I think I would really like to have some of these for keeping herbs in. That would look much nicer than the boring recycled jars I have now.
LOL Yes, I love that song! It definitely fits. Fyi- I sang that song in my head while I read this comment.😂 They would be really cool for storage of herbs.
Hello! Why not put your mixture in a small shoe box sized container with a lid and coat your jars over the container??? Less mess and a lid for storage.
I definitely like the darker color of the mixture. Now tell me. Where did you find baby food jars? I’m past the age of having babies n I haven’t seen any at the thrift stores. I do have a few old ones from the 70tys but I’ve got screws n nails in them 😆. I do like this idea , it’s really cute especially adding the tag in front. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟
I love these and will be making them. Wondering if I could use powdered instant coffee in the melted so it would smell like coffee when it melts?? Please let me know. I love the homespun bows as well. Bought some at Walmart. Have a feeling I'll need more real soon!! 😁☕
That's a great idea Joyce! I would try it, I bet it will smell devine. It may change the color of the candle though, not that it is bad, but just a thought.
Oh this is so much information, I have been wanted to make my tapered candles look like this. I tried and they didn't come out right. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm so glad I found this video. Have a Blessed Week 🍁🍂🌻
I learned how to do this from your grubby candle tutorial but wanted to know how to put a label on. Perfect. To make them more prim, using then strip of homespun would be good. Raffia works but has a more dated country look. Hope that doesn't offend :). They turned out great.
Yes, I have an Etsy shop link in my description box under each video. There may be one left for purchase. I need to sit down and make more up for my booth too. They have sold out.😀
@@RepurposedMyWay is it hard to set up etsy shop? How does it work out with shipping doesn't that cost more and ypu lose money? How do you get paid through etsy ?
@@john3-16. not hard at all. They help you through it. They do charge for each add you put up to sell your items and they take a small percentage when the item is sold. Shipping is a bit cheaper than going to the post office. Etsy takes care of the payment process for the customer and you need to link your banking information for them to send it to you. Shipping prices can be tricky. If you don’t weigh your package properly it can cost you.

Loved the grubby candles, wonderful way to upcycle those jars! Do you ever add essential oil to the melted wax?
I don't have any essential oils, but I would love to get some and put it in. I bet it would enhance the smell so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the grubbys. 😊

Like cinnamon on fabric but will not use anything but your grubby mixture for all else.
Im glad you like the mix. I have been using quite a bit lately, time to replenish.

Have you lit them? Has any of the glasses ever broken due to the heat?
No, they work great 😊
It does look like rust I made some grubby today.I did 3 small crosses and 2 small crosses.
Awesome!
could I spray a sealer on for the second coat, I had trouble with the grunge mix coming off on the brush.
Yes definitely. Also, if you let the grubby mix dry on the glass for a few hours then seal it should stick better. But the spray sealer works too.
thanks......................................sue.................@@RepurposedMyWay
I love the little jars they are so cute.where did you get the labels
Thank you! I made the labels. They are in my Etsy shop for download.
@@RepurposedMyWay ok thank you I love crow's
What type printer do you use? I notice it does run when you wet it
I use an old HP ink jet printer, but usually works good.
I like the different spices more than just cinnamon.
Me too! 😀
Do you sell those once you make them up?
