What would be the ideal environemt for an LEP to be the go to torch?

I like the thor2. Mostly due to the distance/ power to size ratio. I’ve got he v1 but I have a v2 coming for my dad so I’ll get a day or two to compare em. I also have a skylumen compact which is frankly a little more practical. Larger battery and quicker spread while still reaching out pretty damn far. The thors also seem to have some of the more neutral to warmer tints but the skylumen is a very clean, slightly tending toward cool white. The thor2 definitely has more of that “wow” punch though.

Is there any major problem with high parasitic drain? I read this light discharges the 14500 type lithium ion battery to 0.5V!

Have the Thor 1 and love it! I might have to get this tiny beast as well!

la version titane est deux fois plus puissante comparé à cette version standard , cette version standard fait 150 lumens il me semble , la version titane fait 300 lumens et bien plus de candelas , pour moi , le choix est vite fait :)

Lep not so great in fungle environments. But good in urban because a lot of surface refraction.

That one is 6w but they have a titanium one that's 8.4w. How does the upgraded one compare?

Not a fan of the spot, would be useless for finding anthing in the bush where you usually can't see very far anyway. More spread and less distance would be much more practical for most applications.

I used to be of your mindset, but since getting a GT nano, I'm leaning more towards one of these and revisiting my tool AA. If anyone starts making a magnetic tailcap/side switch/1000+lumen 14500 light, I'll be buying that with an Ant Man to replace my D4V2 and nano EDC. It's nice having the balance I do right now, but I hate losing the nano in my pocket, and(I know this is very dependent on geography) I occasionally end up places where the nano can't reach. I usually have something beefier hanging around, but having something better in the pocket would be a huge convenience

@@pyroguyFTW true enough for your application, but some enviroments are open. Cool as a choice to have.

I carry a cloud defensive duty right now for when hitting the open areas i use an old school surefire e2l for up close or in the brush and then there's ir lighting for running nvg I built a custom m3 for that
