For some reason the music reminded me of well the 4 seasons of earth and yet when ever i listen to this song i hear the winter if i may ask what type of season or well condition do you hear?
I gotta say something! This is one of my favorite songs, I absolutely love it. Especially the part that goes "There goes that myth again, that all of this is but a machine." But until I read the lyrics there are two parts where I was mishearing the lyrics and I think what I was hearing makes a little more sense but it's not my song and judging by the rest of the lyrics maybe it's supposed to not quite make sense or maybe it's totally going over my head. But anyway the two lines I was mishearing were "Hit the lights and leave them lit until it's over" and apparently it's "leave the lid on 'till it's over." And "Built like a butterfly, so fluttery, on what will we wing." Is what I hear but according to the written lyrics it's "on what will we wean?" Is that right? Or did someone get the lyrics wrong? I'm dying to know. I sure hope someone knows and answers me. I love your music, Cosmo! ❤

The Devils Right Hand Lord of the Flies, it's a book about a group of boys that get marooned on a desert island and slowly become savages. I read it in English class and this song reminds me of it

Me making sure isopods existed in the pliocene (they existed far before). Imagine isopods, unchanging for so long, witnessing history through little snapshot years. If you could compile the memories of every isopod in history you would be one with the world and temporarly beyond time itself. Isopods have been around since the Pensylvanian epoch.
The music from this album is not only beautiful but it inspires a narrative, I could write a story that flows through each song on the record. It’s so ghostly and enchanting some ways that it can be interpreted into so many stories and each one is magical, devastating, exciting and again, beautiful.

I think the messages of the songs from this album are just so intricately beautiful. It’s a message that builds with each song. The story of nature and rewilding and the loss of said nature. It’s about being a part of something so much bigger then we’ll ever understand. It really leaves you thinking for hours listening to this album and deconstructing the music.
I love how each of his songs are so atmospheric, that it creates its own vast world you can just close your eyes and imagine. It's so vivid, and just beautiful.
This makes me think of the old gods, of many blue eyes opening, of woods so dark you can barely see, of streams trickling through that black. It's beautiful.
I just imagine a caravan of people traveling through a strange land, through hills and forests as they search for a new home. The leader looking back at the long line of people snaking behind the hills, and then turning to continue the long walk
I seriously want to write a book based off the lyric of the song: Here we go again here we go again, Here we go again here we go again, Hit the lights and leave the lid on ‘till it’s over
Back to my childhood, I had a bath in my bathroom and I used to have a bath once a week, sometime with candles and a LOT of bubbles.... But always with some music. just today, i've noticed that the background melody sounds evocative of the song of the now-extinct kauaʻi ʻōʻō bird (or, at least, it sounds evocative of it to me)... very appropriate, very beautiful, and also very sad. cosmo, if you have the time to answer me, i'd greatly appreciate it! i'm very curious to know if this resemblance is coincidental, or was it done deliberately? either way, for me, it's added even more meaning to a song i already loved.
Yeah, I think he intended on using the sounds of an extinct animal as the song refers to humanity simply ignoring what we're doing to nature. The line "hit the lights and leave the lid until it's over" represents humanity's ignorance to nature. And the line "There goes that myth again, that this all of this is but a machine" shows how nature does not work like one of our machines, we cannot replace anything or repair nature, if one species goes extinct, it disturbs the natural balance. I love exploring the meaning behind Cosmo's songs.
@@loonardtheloonard while it is true that we could replace anything in nature if the right funding was applied the action of recreating a biosphere is VERY complex the cycles that run in that sphere are interconnected with other spheres and the addition of even a small bug or especially a new mammalian species can have a drastic affect on the surrounding cycles unless they are being added into a sphere that already contains them (and in that case you need to watch out for population fluxes), or you integrate them slowly by showing other animals the fact that they can eat this new food. Both of these possibilities cost thousands to millions, and while that might not be much to the government, this thought experiment is only for one species there are thousands of insects, birds and mammalian creatures in each biosphere the cost to recreate this would likely be comparable to sending thousands of people to mars, which do you think the public will vote for? The mob doesn't see death they are swayed by what they can see.
@@The_2nd_Traveler well, that's why we must educate populace on importance of ecology and stuff. Even though I've heard this song a few times now I cried on this listen, I like this kind of music because I feel a great connection to nature. All I want is to live out my life in the forest and for just a moment this song hit that feeling just right and I couldn't help but shed a few tears.
I really love this song! I'm not much of a dancer, but this song makes me want to get up and learn how to spin with style and do a 2 man act with only just one person. It's inspiring and beautiful. I'm obsessed.

Honestly, I own a role playing world building/character building discord server, and currently am only able to write long posts due to cosmo sheldrake's music lol it gives me so much inspiration and will to write, it's amazing.
I don't tend to consistently like the music an artist makes. Mostly because I, like Sheldrake, would consider myself a bit eccentric and I have such varied taste in, well, everything. Yet, Cosmo's music is the only artist who I could say that I am a real fan of! I love The Much Much How How and I, I like Don't, and The Moss is my favorite song ever. There's just something about the world these songs take me to that matches the wavelength my brain is on perfectly.
I listened to this song while reading a book where a man told people about his experience in ww2. This made me feel like I experienced everything on my own, this song is just legendary. I love it so much 💔 This is also my favorite song 😅🤪
As a science fiction fan/amateur writer who listens to Cosmo Sheldrake, I occasionally wonder what would happen if we got our act together, Star Trek'd through the galaxy, and made first contact by playing Cosmo Sheldrake songs.
This song makes me want to be alone but not in the sad way but the way where u close ur eyes look up and hear the tree rustling the birds chirping and bugs buzzing. I also feel like I'm in slow motion almost alseep but fully awake at the same time. It reminds me of camping
How many contemporain artist actually write waltz's ? Can't really name any, your style is so unique ! Every music I listen to is like learning about a strange universe, with foreign rules, intriguing and unsettling yet so inspiring.
For some reason this reminds me of a dream I had the other week where I went in holiday and was rowing this small boat along this small river in the middle of theme rainforest. All the leaves on the trees looked like birds (mainly parrots), and I nearly got my leg bitten off by an aligator.
Ahhh this is the only modern music that has those low wood winds highlighted, you can hear it in much of his other songs, along with bassoon. One of the reasons I love his music so much, I play the bass just because it sounds so beautiful, and dare i say mythical, it feels great to have that realized by another person

I've been listening to your songs for like an hour, thanks to that phone commercial, and I haven't disliked one of them
What phone commercial? I’ve been hearing people talk about that but I haven’t seen a phone commercial with his music in it

Honestly, I own a role playing world building/character building discord server, and currently am only able to write long posts due to cosmo sheldrake's music lol it gives me so much inspiration and will to write, it's amazing.
What is it's name?
i recently discovered cosmo sheldrake's music and holy crap it makes me feel powerful. thank you for making such amazing music!! ❤️❤️❤️

This music is so me and i love it
I don't tend to consistently like the music an artist makes. There's just something about the world these songs take me to that matches the wavelength my brain is on perfectly.
also i love how the names of the songs make it look like you are saying nonsense when listing them.
Just ordered the album and can't wait for it to arrive! Stunningly, beautifully different and a treat for the ears! Thank you! XX
I just found this today and already its giving me happy vibes
I listened to this song while reading a book where a man told people about his experience in ww2. This made me feel like I experienced everything on my own, this song is just legendary. I love it so much 💔 This is also my favorite song 😅🤪
Your songs makes me feel so at peace.😌☮
As a science fiction fan/amateur writer who listens to Cosmo Sheldrake, I occasionally wonder what would happen if we got our act together, Star Trek'd through the galaxy, and made first contact by playing Cosmo Sheldrake songs.
This song makes me want to be alone but not in the sad way but the way where u close ur eyes look up and hear the tree rustling the birds chirping and bugs buzzing. I also feel like I'm in slow motion almost alseep but fully awake at the same time. It reminds me of camping
This reminds me of the fire bending in Avatar
The drums do remind me of the sun warriors song
If I was told Cosmo Sheldrake could do literal magic, I would believe it.
I actually love your songs so much. They are amazing. Thank you for existing.
How many contemporain artist actually write waltz's ? Can't really name any, your style is so unique ! Every music I listen to is like learning about a strange universe, with foreign rules, intriguing and unsettling yet so inspiring.
Saw a random comment on a random video mentioning this.
It's so weird and so good at the same time, what the heck?
I just found this and really like the use of bird chirps in this song
It gives me different vibes from the song's lyrics
It's cool 👍
These songs are strange. They tell stories, with or without the lyrics.and it's always a strange story indeed.but pleasant every time no matter
Feels like the woods
For some reason this reminds me of a dream I had the other week where I went in holiday and was rowing this small boat along this small river in the middle of theme rainforest. All the leaves on the trees looked like birds (mainly parrots), and I nearly got my leg bitten off by an aligator.
Have to say, this is my new favorite by you guys
Tariq Leinen one v talented boi
Rosie Davis very much talented boi
what sort of demon would dislike lol
a Bieber fan!
The one summoned by the hypnotic cultists it sounds like are singing this song
Your my go to cosmo when ever I have art block your music gets me going thank you so much
i love this song
the album makes me wanna live in the middle of the woods by the creek and just play this all day
What a nice bass clarinet
Ahhh this is the only modern music that has those low wood winds highlighted, you can hear it in much of his other songs, along with bassoon. One of the reasons I love his music so much, I play the bass just because it sounds so beautiful, and dare i say mythical, it feels great to have that realized by another person
listening to this really calms you down after a player in your DnD campaign is being tricky
This sounds like If ajr did mushrooms and it’s my favorite thing ever
