Nice! But you missed out on one thing which a newbie like me wouldn't figure out so soon ie, adding the mysql jdbc driver.
1. Right click on Libraries > Click on Add Library.
2. Scroll down to find MySQL JDBC driver.
3. Press Shift + F11. (Clean and Build)
4. Run
Now you're good to go ;)

[LOVE THIS VIDEO] In login form constructor if you write this.setLocationRelativeTo(null); after initComponents(); this will automatically open jframe in center of screen dont you have need to write the Toolkit stuff........

I followed the tutorial, but when i try to log in, the error gets caught in the caught statement, nothing in the try statement gets executed,I have followed through the video multiple times and checked my code, my code shows no errors and is written exactly like yours (using different variable names, and different database and table name, but those have been changed to match mine) but it still doesn't work,

Why do we have to keep that sql connector in desktop, when i am keeping it in other drive then it is not responding but after keeping it on desktop it started to work. Can you please explain.

You need to import connector to your library. Maybe you have imported while the file is in desktop. If you have changed the path of file, update the connector path to the recent drive
