The thing about eating stuff that isn't edible, that's a real medical condition, it's called pica. Also hoarding is a very real problem for a lot of mentally ill people. I work in a mental health service and some clients have shown me videos of their homes that look just like the ones in the video. It's really sad actually.

I've watched episodes of My 600lb life. Some of these people get on my very last nerve. They have enablers who complain about what the overweight person eats yet THEY'RE the ones supplying the food. Some of these people don't really seem to want to lose the weight. I watched a clip of this one Black woman who had lymphadema who said she couldn't exercise because of it. So they removed it. Then she complained that she couldn't exercise because she was in pain. Dr. Now told her that she's going to have pain until she does something about it. She made excuse after excuse. I was so annoyed. Then there's the 1000lb sisters. One of the sisters got her surgery and started to lose the weight while the other sister just complained and treated her sister like shit even though she was the main one helping her. That one is the more addicting one because despite her being a complete asshole I really want to see her lose the weight.
Nahhh.. my mom was a hoarder. We would be in a 2 bedroom, 600sq ft apt with 4 kids and she filled the dining room boxes of who-knows-what. When we finally moved into a decent sized, 4 bedroom house, with a backyard, shed, and garage.. she filled that garage TO THE BRIM with random junk! I think it was the poverty mentality that made her think she must hold on to things because she doesn't know if she'll ever get these things again.
11:34 only part I really didn't agree with.. I've done dumpster diving before (my neighbors did it and I decided to go with them once) and there's a lot of treasure in that. It's not my cup of tea but they were saving around 100-200 dollars a month on food. But going through other people's trash is nasty tho. Do it in the supermarket dumpsters 😂
