In basic training,I was in E-5-1 over in the Old Tank Hill barracks back in 1986-1987(I retired in Sept.2013)THANK YOU ALL FOR ALSO SERVING. Hooah!!!!!

EDDIE LEAL I wish of wore the greens. In 2015 we wore the blues as well. We felt like police officers haha.
I was at Fort Jaçkson for basic training in 1964 tough back then
Alma I was there in 70, still remember it, old ass wood barracks, fire guard was REAL!Low crawl cross a parking lot,water,what was that.
I retired in 2012. God bless these folks and their families where ever they may be stationed at.
Tank hill,B-4-1,4thpla.june 1983 Sept.
I went to Ft. Jackson in September of 1979 ,the PT. Track was Lava Rocks and We ran in combat boots. I was stationed in Hollywood D-7-2 . My Drill Sargent's Were SSG Rodgers and SFC ,Bryant . I Was 17 Years Old. Yeah Mom Had to Sign for Me To Go in!!! This Was one of the best experiences of My Young Life. I Did A Lot Of Growing Up. Then Airborne School, and Later S F Selection and the Q course. PS. Our Basic Platoon Also won Best Drill and ceremonies Blue cords for Our Drill Sargents. Sfc.D.L. Ryan 7th SF.GRP. Airborne Ret.

Hoping to be there after high school and fulfill my dream. Always wanted to be in the military and I fell in love with civilian EMS through my community college, so soon I'll enlist as 68W. One day I hope I'll get to say it with the same meaning these young soldiers can, but until that day, Hooah!

My son Graduated from Ft. Jackson BCT in July 2014 but was with the 2nd Batt 13th INF Regt Echo Co 4th Plt Executioners.
I was there for his graduation as I had promised him I would, I still remember it as if it was yesterday.
Was one the the proudest moments of my life, that is next to the day he was born
