Resulted in 5 albums in 5 years and a broken bond with one of the bandmates and tons of sickening mental health. Talk about pressure 🙄 i cant actually believe that artists go through that much stress and still survive somehow and here i get double triple stressed when i get two assignments in a row-

No, Simon didn't say anything bad to the boys on their auditions, he was impressed with them all and he was one of the people who put them togeher. In fact he ended up being their coach on the show and then he signed them up to his label records (which is part of the rules anyway, if you go at least to the live shows on the x Factor and they got to the finals). But apart from that - yeah, horrible man, horrible personality, horrible label, I'm kinda glad it sinked last year. All its acts weren't happy with their label but they couldn't really say anything cuz of legal binding. 1D might be the only band that really blew up globally and were smart enough to get some money out of it and then leave it)) There are rumors they were mistreated as well but nobody actually confirmed it. They only confirmed that they were overly controlled at the beginning (which kinda makes sense cuz they were just kids then) and that they had very intense schedule that made them overworked and it's a part of the reason why they went on hiatus anyway. They did 5 albums and 4 world tours in 5 years non-stop. If they had day off touring they did promos and shooting and stuff. It's exhausting. So your attitude to that man is completely fair.
Yeah the legal side of things like that will try to make you be quiet while being worked like a slave in which basically that’s what that Simeon guy did to them! It sucks but you gotta know your worth! Appreciate you thought for filling me in on all this!
