    You guys did a great video with Finnegan on his channel. I think it was one the most comprehensive single videos about budget modifying the 12v that I've seen, and I've been watching a lot of them since I'm building a Squarebody Crew Cab Chummins myself. For me, the biggest improvement was after changing the gov springs. If you're going to do any mods on your 12V, do the gov springs! Thanks for the video!

    I didn't even know this channel existed. Love Roadkill and gas, I want to learn more about diesel. Can't wait to learn.

    I dont know if Mike totally grasps the torque output that thing is going to have just yet. lol If it hooks up decent, im saying 13's through the 1/4. Thanks for putting the video together for us, it was neat to see all you guys working together, and also nice to still see a company providing innovation for the 12v cummins. I've had my 94 since 2003, dont think I could ever sell it. Hopefully it will get a ground up rebuild one day and be around for a long time...

    I've got a 1990 first gen and need advice on how to add a tachometer. Mike mentions a "white wire" (@ 17:05) however I am not familiar with this. Any suggestions?

    • @burningdinosaurs
      @burningdinosaurs 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dodge calls it a crank position sensor. I don't think first gen had them. You'd need a 2nd gen balancer as well that has the grooves cut in it for the signal.

      Thanks. Let me know if you come across an aftermarket alternative.

    Mike, there is a stock Cummins bracket that puts the A/C pump up above the lower Rad hose.

      The ford medium duty trucks with a Cummins in them have a upper ac mount on them I believe.

      Dan v Summit sells them.

      Dan v PA performance sells a really good one

    • @burningdinosaurs
      @burningdinosaurs 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dan v - Just use a older dodge voltage regulator. More reliable and will start charging as soon as the engine starts. Pre-93? I think. Google will know for sure.

    • @jasontruman1215
      @jasontruman1215 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      burningdinosaurs pre 91, 91.5-93 use the computer just like the second gens.... and a one wire aftermarket alternator will be a much cleaner install. PA performance makes good stuff.

    • @burningdinosaurs
      @burningdinosaurs 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was close! Yes, it will be a little cleaner without the regulator, but it just depends on what you're looking for. For me, I don't care about the extra component and few wires. For some, it's a pain. Thanks, Jason, for getting the correct year!

    It's unfortunate that this rig became too loud to comfortably put to work. I wish someone would have told Mike that he didn't have to cut up the firewall and floor when keeping the Dodge cooling/ accessory system. All he had to do was replace the factory clutch fan with a Cummins specific dual electric fan setup from Flex-A-Lite PN# 103961.

    The second gen dodge is a very sleek looking truck just as long as you have a Cummins 12 valve in it ...lol

    • @markrich3271
      @markrich3271 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have both 12 & 24 I love being able to tune the electronic ejection and how well the 24v head flows. The variable timing . Im also not looking to make 800hp ( i have a gasser for that) I use it to tow my toys.Also you can only get the 98+ in quad cab design , something worth having. There both fun though.
