They are shipped with the factory edge, and the factory claims they are shave ready. Many people prefer us to put a touch up on the edge, and we have that option on our website
@@RazorEmporium Thanks so much for the fast reply! I’ve been looking at a couple of the Thiers-Issard razors on your website and I think I’m ready to pull the trigger. Glad I have the option to have your team fine tune it for me. I’ll be placing an order soon. Thank you again!
Hello Matt Why did you skip 50% of the company name? His wife Jeanne Issard was his partner and also blade maker. She apparently had her own line of razors back then. Another interesting fact in an interview the manager of the Thiers-Issard mentioned that the blade should be kept warm in water between 50 and 60 Celsius ( 122F and 140F) . The blade cuts much better hot. Thank you Matt for all the information you give.
I just bought a TI bijou de France I would love info on production date etc if your able to tell from pics? It’s a vintage
just purchased my first straight razor: Theirs issued Canadian. 6/8 :)
Great video, I have to confess I didn’t know this old brand and will go for it!
Are these shipped shave ready?
