Sparrow recently unveiled a huge renovation of its Mother Baby Center, enhancing its status as Mid-Michigan’s premier birthing center and only Baby-Friendly certified hospital.

Director of Sparrow Women and Children Services Kathy Marble discusses the refresh. Rooms and bathrooms were redone to enhance the Mother Baby experience at Sparrow. The Sparrow Mother Baby Center features artwork, a pantry, and a sitting room. These renovations were completed with mothers, babies, and the accompanying parents in mind.
There is a core nursing station at the entry of the unit, keeping infant safety top-of-mind. The unit’s refresh provides women in the Mid-Michigan community a state-of-the-art birthing facility to experience the true joys of pregnancy, labor, delivery, and post-care.
