- A senior Tory MP has suggested we could plug holes in our defence by bringing back conscription for young people who turn down work.

NO ONE claiming UC can refuse a job offer - they get ‘sanctioned’ and their UC payment is withdrawn.
Which is why anything coming out of Carole's mouth, as usual, is utter bollox.
Exactly
I think young people feel hopeless. Theres no chance someone on a minimum wage job will be able to afford to own a house, heating, a car, even a holiday etc. When you feel hopeless you have no drive to achieve because its all seems unachievable. Sad times really.
Its time to say goodbye to Carol malone on jeremy vine, i wonder how much she gets paid on the jeremy vine show, the lady is all for the Conservative party.
That’s the same for all the left wing guests, it’s just that you’re left wing so you hate the right opinion
Biased ..the other side are paid the same
She isn’t all for the conservatives, she’s just a horrible person in a wig
I understand they need a balance, one person from the left other from the right however she talks absolute nonsense and never sticks to facts. She lives in her own world and is quite dangerous to be honest.
This is Conservativeism
Put the retirement age up
Then complain that the younger generation doesn't want to work
Carole Malone should shut up
Thats very polite. I cant say what i actually think of her.
Where’s all these jobs comeing from also low wages ok for malone too waffle on . If someone refuses jobs they loose their money
Carole Malone used to go out with Mike Parry apparently
would you want somebody along side you on active duty knowing they don't want to be there and were forced? serving in the Army you have to be able to trust your fellow squadies with your life and to be a team player.
Also, would you want to fix bayonets when the people around you are women.
We fought two world wars using conscripts.
@@donaldbrown4564 we did, however the world and society are very very different now.
Make them become tv presenters
Good idea 🙃😊
It makes you wonder what happened to Carole Malone that's made her turn out to be so ruthless, she never has a good word for anyone who is unemployed or have found their selves on hard times. She should try to find room in her heart for her fellow man.
As far as the army goes not everyone is cut out for it therefore it would do more harm than good to force people against their will..
Alcoholism is my best guess.
Carole Malone lives in a different world to most of us
Why do we have s*** on there people like her who knows subtle we wasn't she the one who's better those children because served to die when those children got the to death I think so because their parents won offered on benefit she is a really a nutter
Can’t stand malone she is not a nice person
How rude can Carole be, she’s constantly shouting over the other panel members chiming in with her rubbish
PIT MALONE IN THE ARMY, SHE MIGHT FIND OUT THEN, SHE WONT WANT TO DIE SO WHY SHOULD EVERYONE ELSE
What an utterly monstrous suggestion! Work or Kill otherwise a life has no meaning? Honestly, how very dare you?!!!!
Malone should just admit she wants victorian workhouses back, and stop being so coy about it
I suspect she'd quite like to see slum housing too (as long as it's not near her)
Having spent 3 years as a recruit instructor, and just forcing just anyone from the street into military service is a total ludicrous suggestion, especially as recruit training is aimed at using military training to change a civilian into a effective and well trained military soldier. And these people have volunteered to join the military so they show an enthusiasm, a willingness and an ambition to achieve their goals and their aspirations and for the most they do achieve their aspirations and ambitions.
But taking just anyone from the streets who hasn’t got the same enthusiasm, ambitions and having a strong sense of achievement, they would rebel against the discipline and the commitment that is required to achieve any form of standards or achievements, so it would be a total waste of money and resources, it would be totally unfair on both the recruit and the instructor. I myself applied to enlist at the age of 16, and served for 25 years, and my two sons served for 23 years and 12
Years respectively. And they chose to enlist themselves and not by any pressure from me, and both of them achieved their own goals and ambitions, they enjoyed their military service and more importantly they both attained a trade qualification that they still use today in their chosen career choice.
Yes
Why on earth would the Army, which is a professional organisation, want these individuals?
I don’t believe people should conscript other people when they have never served themselves.
A lot of young people left uni with shitty degrees nd there isn’t the demand for their skills. They feel scammed.
They will enter the workforce when their benefits stop.
Also, think very carefully b4 joining up. You may be dragged b4 the courts 50 yrs later.
I would never join up with the state of this country, forcing unemployed to join up shows how desperate they are to get troups, by the way i have served when the country was a country to fight for.
What soldier would want too stand next too someone holding a gun that doesn’t want too be there.
What are we North Korea ? British people would never do this.
Seriously, why keep asking such idiotic questions to appease the right wing.
Can't stand vine and as for malone, parry etc words fail me
@@richardbeath3186agree 💯 , parry , Malone etc horrible vile individuals
I think more jobs that offer qualifications whilst working would be beneficial. To help people improve and climb up the ladder x
How about we look at those who are employed, yet doing a terrible job and draft them instead? Lots more of those types around these days...especially politicians and those in positions of authority / status. Also, any politician who calls for the draft of other people's kids and grand kids must draft their own first.
people love commentating of what others should do without doing anything themselves... war is coming and people want the unemployed to join and potentially be cannon fodder...but i agree that if someone doesnt access upto 3 jobs they should be given anything... theyre playing
“Benefits” is a huge bracket! And a lot of those encompass people who can’t work!
Malone is a baby boomer !!
She definitely isn’t generation X !!
What Right Wing rubbish!
How many years did the guest Carole serve on the front line or did she prefer the comfort of a nice house, which on average, would be priced at least 4-5 times lower than it would be now.
Darryl Morris is right
How does Carol Malone thinks she can speak for everyone to label every unemployed young person a dosser? Id love to see some of these mythical benefit claimant living a lavish lifestyle people that are always referred to in these discussions. Its typical strawman rubbish
Carole The Drunk.
This isn't North Korea
Those who can and have the time could maybe join the salvation army
All immigrants who come here to gain uk citizenship should have to by law serve in the military a minimum of 3 years
BIKE NONCE
Carol’s inner and outer beauty match perfectly. 🤢
Malone , queen of the gutter press journalist s , over her career she has been embroiled in many controversies.
who da hell would join the arm forces, to fight fer what?
Precisely
force what world are you living in
