Andrew York once said the guitar didn't have a Bach or a Chopin, yet by then the guitar already had an Andrew York.
And how I always come back to this man, this guitar, who both so haunt me?
Thank you very much for your kind comment, wilfy!
Mr. York: Thank You so much for your music. I love your compositions and how you play them. You're the best contemporary guitarist / composer. A real master of classical guitar.
Absolutely beautiful and haunting. Andrew York is one of those rare composers whose music is warm and immediately accessible but where, at the same time, the whole is somehow greater than the parts.
Great comment
Another beautiful composition, and always played with such emotion!!
Thank you very much, James!
Andrew York -this is the universe !
Beautiful music born from soul and heart. Thanks Andrew.
You write so many touching songs; such beauty and depth of passion. You are quite remarkable.❤
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you, Kathy!
Another beautifully created piece, another gem. The relationship between Andrew and the instrument is inspiring.
I was at one of Segovia’s last concerts in NY and the audience demanded 7 encores. At the end of the 7th encore he told the audience in a trembling voice that on that night he finally felt the equal of his guitar.
It certainly feels like that here!.
That must have been a superb moment! 7 encores? Indescribable audience appreciation/maestro interaction
@@davepowell1661it was a very beautiful thing indeed!
@@fastjazz That Segovia was probably in his late 80s impresses me most, may l ask which year this was?
@@davepowell1661 it was decades ago - alas I don’t recall
@@fastjazz Thanks Tony, online it says he travelled doing concerts in his 90s ! You are a lucky man, l was a year too young.
Enjoy your weekend
Beautiful!!! You are a great inspiration for me, Mr. York. God bless you.
I don't know why this made me sob. It has a timelessness and pathos that crawled into my heart and reminded me of everyone I have ever lost. Thank you?
Super, your music inspiries, you show your soul in your music, thanks
Thank you very much, Alan. Glad you enjoy it!
Beautiful. The big room accentuates the sound of the guitar in a very complimentary way.
Thank you very much, Jon!
@@AndrewYorkguitar you are very welcome. Always give credit where it’s due !
A church organ behind would suggest a very large space, agreed superb sound
Great Mr. York
Thanks for your music, Andrew. My first composition which I performed was "Why".
Bravo, Magister.
wonderful master York!
Amazing as always. I love the touch you have. It is so telling of the relationship you have with the instrument. I identify with your style very closely.
They are one creature now. The merger is complete.
Andrew led through his 'Hall of forgotten rooms' and l was shown a musical palace
Thank you very much for your beautiful comment, Dave!
Sweet heart strings-I am captivated.
Again a stunning piece by Andrew. A proof that practice, hard work and dedication are not enough. Either you're gifted or not, nothing in between.
Thank you, Arvin!
2:30 reminds me a little bit of your piece "Shine". Amazing
Beautiful!
Beautfull piece Maestro
GREATNESS
Pure magic
Thank you, Mauricio!
I'm enjoying your songs so much, I'd like to play all of them, but I'm not that good at guitar... It takes too long to learn them. But, anyways, thank you for your music, it brings me kind of peace of mind, I don't know how to describe that feeling
Thank you very much for your kind comment, Lacrima!
Amazing!
Thanks, Yakub!

What does he play? (brand, model)
Guitar by David Daily.
A Frank Lloyd Wright of the guitar.
Now she needs to do it on a Martin D-28
