What we consider a mid-spender in ROK is often considered a whale in other games.
You spending ~$50/month is absolutely low-spend in the ROK world but mid spend elsewhere.
To be competitive, especially in a lower seed KvK, you can be a pure mina icon F2P, or an Ultra low spender ($5 crystal supply only, or crystal supply + $5 lucernce) with elite tier activity and efficient investments.
Top-efficiency players can gem grind 4,000 to 5,000 gems f2p daily without cheating (not joke).
The value and purpose of gems has improved as well, with the gear system changes and better gem spending events for armaments.
The fishing event was especially good for armaments.
Oh I totally agree, the cliff for spending in ROK is soooo much higher than even games like fortnite!

Edit: I am only in pre kvk3 so no crystal tech yet but I will spend on the 5$ thing that gives 60k every day

I'm old, I live in the past. But normalising $550 spend on one single game as a "low spender" is insanity to me. Each to their own and no criticism - everyone should spend their entertainment budget wherever they damn well please. But I do object when that level of spending is considered "low", I'm afraid
TBH it’s pretty insane to me, I have never seen any other game where this is considered to be low spending. However- my understanding is that this is becoming the norm for mobile games like ROK.
For rational minds this is absurd spending for a game!

Sure! Work on getting the best pairs you can- do not partially invest in commanders, either max them or don’t. Also focus on getting the best equipment and strongest marches, t5 are nice but they are expensive to maintain
@@ShappyGaming thanks man I bought mins motto and have him expertise and I run cao cao with him and he's almost expertise too I really only run cav marchs right now I'm working on better armor right now but my military technology is higher then my building power 😂
