- Witcher in the North visits the ravaged town of Thoduras to help the locals battle a monster in the mines. But not all is as it seems. It's not the Netflix one!
This was a fun project, a fanfilm for the universe of the Witcher with a bit of a northern vibe as we are from Finland.
Shot this little project actually before the Netflix series but as we are slow as hell, we just released it to youtube. Managed to get into an actual mine here in Finland (Tytyri Elämyskaivos, that's under 70 meters) so that's why it looks nice and grungy :) A very special thanks also to Rosala Viking Center as our backdrop to the town. It's always a struggle shooting fantasy fanfilms with no budget but somehow we managed to pull this off and only costing us in the range of 3-4k of euros. Most of that went to gasoline and equipment.

That's what the witcher Series should look and feel like, you guys did the best of your budget.
That was nice :) The story suited the witcher world well and images, shots, costumes are looking good! Thank u for this great work .
Thanks!!
AMAZING!!! INCREDIBLE !!! THIS IS HOW A SHORT MEDIEVAL MOVIE OF THE WITCHER IS DONE!!! AND THE ONE WHO PLAYED THE CHARACTER OF THE WITCHER IS THE WITCHER TO BE IN OTHER WITCHER SHORT FILMS !!! NOW....TO WHAT REALLY MATTERS.....AND THIS IS FOR EVERYONE WHO READS::GIVE YOUR LIFE TO JESUS CHRIST.....HE LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE. AND HE ONLY WANTS TO DO GOOD TO YOU. SO....WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? ACCEPT HIM AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR TODAY. HE LOVES YOU FOR REAL.
OMG!!
Fantastic Job mate!
Thank you for your beautiful and high quality masterpiece 🙏🌹
Very well done lighting and faithful to the source inspiration for the twist in the story. Excellent work!
Great work. Its a nice to see that the folks made a hard work to do this.
This is beyond impressive.. beautiful cinematography, amazing sets, great acting and fighting sequences - and the story!! WOW! deserves more views.
Thanks Bailey!! :)
well done, BRAVO!
Wow. Excellent production. 👍👏
Awesome!
This was better than all three series combined.
Deserves much more recognition! Thoroughly enjoyed this. Well written and acted. Great cinematography and action. Really amazing!
Awesome! Perfect camera / cut, nice work with light. Of course perfect atmosphere.
How am I just now finding this channel!
👏👏Legit piece of film with all of it's cinematography, costumes, music, action, etc.🙌 Enjoyed it.
Thanks!
I LOVE YOUR SCENES!!
Thanks yous!!
Excellent job you guys! Cinematography, storytelling, editing, acting, choreography all top notch! Truly enjoyed it, there should be way more views on this! This short is slept on.
Thanks a bunch!
Awesome, we’ll done homage.
Wow, this is a really cool short film. Great camera work. And you guys filmed at Rosala viking centre! That is super cool. Rosala is like a second home for me because of the viking days in summer (i do reenactment). This was really cool to see! Mahtavaa!
Kiitos!!!
Amazing work! Ty
Better then netflix series
That was great!! Liked a lot! Congrats!!
Very nice work - especially with the costumes and the props! They all looked really good, as did the tavern in the beginning.
An extra reaction shot every now and then wouldn't have hurt, and could have emphasized parts of the narrative, but overall the story and the characters were easy to follow.
There's a lot to be happy about here for everyone who was involved in the making of this short.
Thanks kiitos!
Love it. Thank you for sharing =)
Thanks for watching :)
Absolutely incredible great job
Oli hienosti tehty pätkä. Muuten kaikki toimi ja oli uskottavaa paitsi pääosan esitys. Kokonaisuutena tykkäsin.
Kiitos!
this should have more views
Awesome film!!! Upeeta mahtavaa!!!
Kiitosss!!
Hi! Sorry in advance, I'm writing this with Google Translate: This little fan film is much more Witcher than the series itself! You feel and know what the Witcher essence feeling mood story is! You guys are awesome!
Fuck yeah! Google translate worked ;)
Magnifique Travaille !!!
Good stuff! The best piece in a long time! Love the lighting and grit.
One of the most impressive looking witcher fan film, well done ! The cinematography is awesome for such a low budget, the fight scenes as well.
I think there's a youtube bug, there should be at least 2 more numbers in the views. :)
Thanks a bunch! TH-cam is a mystery!
Very cool!
I found you because of polish dubbing, and I was surprised that you have so little Views. Keeping going guys!
This dubbing if you want to know:

Dayum! The even redid all the sfx and music! I would've shared the audio tracks if he just asked haha!
Hey! That's a pretty nice movie!
Hey! Thankss!
This was incredible! Loved it!
Thank you so much!!!
This is good ! Well done my Finnish friend. Greetings from Australia.
Thanks! Loved visiting australia a year back!
@@hmcindie I gladly show you around next time 🙂
Really well done !
Thanks!!
Great visuals
Voi perrrk... that was good!
This was so amazing, better than NetWoke. Witcher’s kill monsters, some of the biggest monsters in the world are humans. Good form 👍😎🔥
Thankyous!
Hm, really interested fan video!
Thanks!
Damn cool. The cinematography, sets, costumes - great. The Alghoul looked as real as can be. The actor of the a-hole Drostald did an amazing job. Weirdly the fighting, which usually is the strong point of HMC works, was a bit hard to follow and could have used a few highlight moments. Anyway, I would watch more of this.
Thanks!
Love the music and the cinematography!!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
But nothing else !! 😅
Another great one from @hmcindie et al!
Far better than Netflix Witcher season 2
Thanks a lot! Far less budget too 8)
Wow, this is a masterpiece
You know, I have a weird dream of making something using your GK themed piano pieces. Just have to figure out what
@@hmcindie Nah, you saw a premonition of a GK music video made by me. ;)
When you have a vision, hit me up.
masterpiece
Much thanks!!
Well done 👏😊
Thanksies!
Very well done!!
Epic!
I was looking for a fan film set in the world of The Witcher. I am glad to have found this one, which told an interesting story in 8 minutes. Just a question: how did you find such locations and costumes for this?
Thanks Nidellaneum! There is a Viking Centre in Finland and we just used that as a location. Also a real mine called Tytyri that let us shoot! Clothing was a mixed bag of stuff here and there.
@@hmcindie a Viking Centre? Seems nice. Also, I like how you managed to shoot the mine scenes by going in an actual mine. Was it planned or where you thinking about other places?
@@NIDELLANEUM We tried to find other places too but the mine was too good 😅
Epic
Oh yesss ⚔️🔥💯
Honesty the few couple seconds would make for a really good background loop for an hour of ambient music
I liked the facial expressions of the Wealthy man character. Fight was nice and fast but camera was too shaky and fight still looks a little choreographed, would've liked some smooth flow like all those witcher game cinematics. Nice props, make up, and costumes. Nice VFX. Cool back story flash back.
I was screaming in my head "where's yer Yrden d00De???" when the witcher was trying to track where the witch was during combat. 3:16
Wanted to see more of the face of the Aghoul but too dark.
Thanks!
This is better than the Netflix trash
Это невероятно прекрасно 😍😍 Браво👏👏👏
What a great short movie! Impressive!
You guys nailed the atmosphere and the story telling of the Witcher universe. Very well done!
In fact, THIS is how a Witcher movie should look & feel like, not the BS that Wokeflix has been making...
Hoodee eli hyvää duunia. Erittäin hyvää. Pidin tästä paljon enemmän kuin tuosta suoratoistopalvelussa pyörivässä versiosta.
Suuret kiitokset!
That was an amazing video guys!!! well done. unfortunate that the youtube codec butchers all the deep black, artifacts everywhere :c
Thanks! yup, youtube codec is a true butcher!
Awesome master work! :D
Definitely a thousand times better than the shitty excuse of a show made by Netflix. 😂
Thanks a bunch, Triss! 8)
Loistava!
Better than Netflix’s shit show
This is Witcher. Nobody can be sure if she wasn´t regular monster with ability to show fake memories. What if he killed innocent men? Who know in Witcher universe...
the witcher show on netflix is a joke.....this catches the wither vibes much better!
Thanks a bunch!
10 of the watchers were alghouls.
İnan dan geldim from inan köse
Could have done a better job with the elder stabbing his wife, too much jump cutting. And the witcher drawing his sword also looked pretty clunky.
But some very nice set pieces and the atmosphere is there, the ghoul looked pretty neat, although I'd have liked to see more Witcher work, no oil usage no potion drinking and the witcher seemed very unfocused letting someone creep up on him like that. The witcher also suddenly deciding he's a shining knight fighting for justice was very out of character to me but that's just mit picking. Overall I'd say a good 6/10
But please please pleeease my guys... Get rid of that ugly reverse grip, it really just looks dumb especially for someone who supposedly is an expert fighter but that's just a personal pet peeve.
Thanks for comments!
