Though I do not know the language, it is really impressive and breathtaking that deeply touches the hearts and minds of people. Thanks so much to the three Sudanese singers for providing us with this wonderful song.
It reminds most of us the time of Hailesislassie , in which Ethiopian radio was broadcasting such lovely Sudanese Music. Many of us appreciate and impressed by Sudanese music than Ethiopians music though we couldn't able to translate and comprehend the meanings. I feel that we should have to learn Arabic in our childhood education.Even it is important today that Arabic language shall be one of the intentional language that shall be given in most of our primary schools, as far as we are proximate to Arabic speaking people in the east and west .
This song is one I have known since my childhood. Lots of memories and lots of love due to this song and Mashenaa! God Bless the Al-Balabil sisters for their long lasting great songs that they gave the world to enjoy for ever and ever. Thank you Sudan for giving the world such great talent!

This song was perhaps more popular in Ethiopia than the Sudan - due to the Education through Radio which presented this song, and Machaina. What a nostalgia!
I remember this song during our elementary school radio sessions (Timihirt Be-Radio from Legedadi station). It was the intro before sudanese , when we were thought about citizen naming in our English Lessons. Decades gone already.
