Best monologue of “Out, damned spot” I have seen. I’ve watched a lot of different interpretations and I identify with this one the most. The fearfulness, the anger, the remorse and guilt. Very good 😊

Not quite the same as Francesca Annis, in Roman Polanski's 1971 film production of MacBeth, where she played Lady MacBeth, in the sleepwalking scene, entirely naked.

Thank you for your feedback! What is your favorite interpretation of Lady Macbeth?

    • @emmabennett3985

Although this is a little harsh there is truth to it. I’ve never interpreted lady Macbeth as fearful and anxious. She meditated and thoughtful and psychopathic. I don’t belive she weeps but is more annoyed that she can’t wash away from her mind what has happened. I agree with you on this stamens but it could’ve been said in a nicer tone

@@emmabennett3985 Thanks for your comment, Emma! One thing about great drama is that it has universal appeal and is open to a multitude of expressions and interpretations. One theme in Macbeth that I encountered is the theme of remorse; felt by both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, and in this production we attempted to express that element. One way to see this is they both underestimated the effect the crime would have on their conscience, and that is exactly what conscience is for - to remind us of our wrongs. Of course in this case both of these characters' consciences are faulty; so they vacillate from remorse to anger to annoyance, defiance, etc.

@@nicolaswalker3937 I completely agree with this! Everyone is going to play a character in their own way and that is totally fine! And I totally agree with what you have said here
