I watch Cog Hill Farm and I learned that ducks need water to clean out their nose, plus kiddie pools are great, but they get filthy and must be cleaned.

Thank you for being so caring... I am a wildbird rehabilitator and waterfowl is my specialty.. They need water you can get a kiddie pool for them.. They will eat scratch but also greens, kale lettuce, and love eating peas you can get the frozen ones much better than canned. Also be aware unsupervised isits to the pond will be unsafe for a single white duck predators are the problem... I have 20 years of experience and have been careful about protecting my pet geese and duck.... You can get tips from utube the woman utube has pet ducks she is great and has dedicated her life to these precious ducks... called Duckin Ducks...much love good luck they are great pets.. Any questions please write back i just gave you a few tips...❤❤❤🦆🦆🦆

They tend to sleep on hard surfaces in the wild.
Mainly in low hanging willow trees.
But I bet they appreciate the softness, for as long as they feel safe.

It would have been nice if they left some money for their added expenses to you. Irresponsible people. My friends lived on a farm and ended up taking in extra cats and dogs because of drop offs. May God bless your kindness. Yes they would probably love to be at the pond. My sister in law made an island in her pond for her geese 🦆 safety. It was pretty Smart to keep them away from coyotes. ❤️🙏🇨🇦

They must have pool/ pond. Water birds.
Guess, as long as sheltered and box with straw or sawdust?
Aunt had Canadian goose would stop, by for while, every year.
Otherwise stayed in coop, with chickens.
Left when she was ready. Repeat next time.
Do ensure water for your ducks to swim.
    Maybe fish?

My only qualification is that one time we picked up some baby ducks off the side of the highway (no adults around). Until we could get them to a shelter (apparently they were domestic hybrids and couldn't go to animal control), we just put some of our chickens' mealworms in a water dish and they seemed to enjoy that. Peas should also work in a pinch. Good luck!

They need water to eat apparently, there’s a TH-cam Channel called Goldshaw farm and he’s taken care of water poultry for a couple of years now and has a lot of knowledge to pass on.

Find someone with ducks to re-home them too. You really have enough on your hands already.

So sorry, Marc. I had to laugh at your narrative. At least you’re honest about not knowing how to care for ducks. Seems like people are taking advantage of your good nature. The only thing I know about ducks is they will probably need a pond or pool of some sort, and don’t feed them bread crumbs. That’s the end of my knowledge.
