Lifelong Madison County resident...never really lived in town--grew up in the country and I live in rural Anderson now. My dad worked at Delco and we had a good life because of GM. We did all our shopping in Anderson at the Mounds Mall. It is very sad to see it now. It was a really nice town before GM left. I don't worry that much about crime....I'm more afraid to go to Indianapolis, than I am walking around Anderson.
Very nice video and scenery with content/ info about the various areas of that city, also looks like you have lived and spent quite a bit on various homes there as well, also pretty cool that you no longer live in the Midwest via Alabama, but still make your way back to the state of Indiana and it’s various cities and towns to shoot video content and info, as always great stuff and keep up the good work..🙌🏼👍👏🏼👊🏻😃
LOL. I see a video about Anderson being where you don't want to live, and you drive right past the block where I grew up, 4th and Locust. I was admittedly relieved to get out of that area, though. Too much drug activity going in that part of town.
Thank YOU Andrew for being respectful and 'real' about the communities in Anderson IN. I was not born here but grew up here. The video that was done, entitled 'The people here are 'mean' by people that have never lived there was SO inaccurate and idiotic. It made me upset! Mind you, we know Anderson is not the best place to live but apparently, some people haven't been anywhere and there ARE, like you say, communities waaay worse off. TY and God bless 🙌🏽
@Wolf Pack Warriors you must be really young bc I'm older and lived there thru the 70s, 80s & 90s. It USED to be a great place to raise your kids. Not so much anymore. 😢
I like your channel because you have a holistic view of Anderson you didn't just look at one side of town in your content and label everybody in the town is get old drug addicts alcoholics Etc I really appreciate that you have a balanced out right there you show the nice areas as well as the bad areas
I live in Anderson. It used to be nice back in the 80-90s. No longer..it's a broken, run down town, especially since guide left. I would never suggest buying a home in Anderson, renting fine, but definitely not long term.. ESPECIALLY if you have children.
My friend Shannon lives in Anderson, IN! On Morton street somewhere. One of these days I’m going to stop by when I’m on my way to Michigan to visit for a bit, & stay with Shannon for a bit before I head up, which was supposed to happen a couple years ago, but Covid happened & messed up all the plans. I still plan on trying to get out there though, because I haven’t recorded my music yet & the whole reason I’m trying to get out that way is to visit & record! I should save this video for when I go so that way I might be able to recognize things!
I was raised in Anderson, Indiana and hated every minute of every day i lived there!! very crooked town and goverment officials! I tried for years to get out of there and finally did a few years ago. Moved to Sevier County Tennessee and that was the best move I ever made and i would never go back!! Rent is somewhat cheap, but the cost of utilities will drain you quick! They buy their power from Indiana /Michigan Power and upcharge it 3 times what they pay for it to their residents. Water is high and your sewer bill is 3 times what your water bill is. Their water and power infrastructure has not been updated since the 40's and 50's and they have been given money by the government to update it multiple times but didn't use the money for the infrastructure. As i said, very, very crooked city!!
Check out Edgewood, Pendleton, Yorktown or Chesterfield. All these cities are close to Anderson and within an hour of Indianapolis and suburbs. Good luck
I had a very positive upbringing in Anderson and still have family there and they live well. Opinions of your experience are valid but it is not the general consensus.
I'm not trying to be a smartass but you said this was about Anderson but a good 85% has been about you and where you have been we want to hear about Anderson not you .. Like I said I don't mean to offend but listen and given honest opinion it's more about you than the city of Anderson sincerely.. Shannon
thanks for making these vids about Anderson
I live in Anderson Indiana I was born and raised here it's not that bad

My success is my survival. Thats how i explain it to my opponent when i win..
Where would you recommend buying a home with character, move-in ready, if the buyer has 250+ hundred thousand dollars?
