The story of this MV is that Jin is from outer world, and while traveling through the universe landed on Earth due to a broken spaceship. He was living on Earth waiting for his spaceship to be fixed so he can return to space. In the meantime he meets and creates a valuable relationship with the little girl (Army), who teaches him things, and in return, he helps Army to ride her bike (and be on her own). When his people finally come to get him on Earth, he excitedly runs and bicycles to the spaceship. Then, he realizes at the end that instead of returning to space, he wants to stay on Earth to be with his Army.💜

i am sure that little girl represents both ARMYs and BTS, in the mv he taught her how to ride a bicycle by her own so that she'll be fine when he is gone just like he raised the other members, saw them growing up and made sure ARMYs are happy

When he gave her the helmet, I think that was a message for armies that take care of yourself till he's gone for a while. And he does go towards his spaceship to maybe go back, but then when his spaceship was ready to take him, he realised that his family is actually here , the girl which probably represents army and BTS as well in some way so he decided to stay here with his 'family' which feels like 'home' to him. So he gets back and that shows no matter where he goes even for a while , he will always come back to BTS and Army because they are his HOME and family. 💜

I thought this song was primarily gonna be about bidding goodbye to armys, like he is leaving the earth, us, for a while. BUT instead he came back and didn't leave on the spaceship permenantly. So the main message isn't about farewell but the reassurance that even though he will be gone temporarily in the military, he will come back to armys because we're like his family and he will come home to us💜😭

I love this MV so much as it captures everything what jin and what his daily life is about and shows us armys that whenever he leaves home it's the first thing he misses.
Also Jinnies vocals are amazing on this song and you can feel every bit of emotion coming from him and this song brought tears to my eyes (it just the way he sings that does it).
Also you can tell this is written by Coldplay and me being a Coldplay fan for years and also being an army I'm just glad Jin got to collab with Coldplay as they are his idols.
Let's stream this sing for him to show him how much we love him and will miss him.
Storyline:
Jin is from another planet and his spaceship destroyed and got trapped in Earth. He wants to go back to his world and trying hard. The beam of light represent that there is a hope that he can escape from here. On meantime he gets closer to the girl, who represents army and teaches her to learn how to ride the bicycle and he is proud of her which shows symbolically shows that he is teaching armys to stand by themselves when he leaves. At the end of the video his spaceship get fixed but he decides to stay here with that girl which he thinks as his only family also even though she learned how to ride the bicycle but still waits for him to come out just like how we are doing right now. I cried when i realize the storyline😫 Also Jin has a braille tattooed on his neck which means ARMY and the puzzle also shows a braille which says FOR ARMY😭😭😭

This is why Jin is my bias. The meaning behind the lyrics of his songs are priceless and the way he carries about himself, always being a nurturing person, putting others before himself and always ready to lend a hand. His music illustrates art and by him going away soon, just makes the mv more tearful. It's like a goodbye message but a see you soon. Will definitely miss him alot :(

In the mv , the little girl is the army’s , and Jin is helping us to grow without him . At the end you can hear the bell of the bike ringing. It means that we when he will come back armys are gonna be there waiting for him

The fact that he's an alien who has to return home but he realized that his home is actually on earth when he says "i love you" so he stays for his loved ones. Army is the girl (and/or bts since he's leaving them too) the most emotional part for me was when he taught her to ride a bike herself as she'll be ok when he leaves. the original plan was to leave completely i guess... but then you know what happened, he returned bc he hears the girl ring her bike's bell in the last scene.
My take on this. Jin alien from another planet on earth. Space ship comes to take him home, so he dresses up to go home, but has second thought because of the little girl and decides to stay on earth. The little girl provides Jin love and family, just like A.R.M.Y.
the way he chose to stay on earth for the girl his 'family' (army) made me cry a lot

OMG I’am in floods of tears, that he did this for Army, before military. Tbh when you watch back videos of BTS shortly before & after the news dropped. They can’t say it, but you can see the pain, hurt, sadness & fear in their eyes. I feel heartbroken & I hope they’ll be protected in there at all costs. As army I feel we could’ve made a difference & we didn’t & we let them down, if I speak factually. As they can’t openly ask us, to help. tbh, storyline hits so much harder when we think about seokjin and how he joined bts. he never meant to be a singer, he wanted to be an actor just like how the astronaut in the mv never meant to land on earth.
but then somehow jin (the alien who finally smiled at the end) found bts, and found armys (the little girl represented both bts and armys and how jin raised us to be on our own before he "leaves" for a while). he had found his family on earth, and passion and now we are home to him.
and the ending when u hear the bicycle bell rings after he had completed the crossword (as he was stuck in the beginning of the mv bc he didnt know what this whole thing meant to him at first, the bell rang by the little girl who had waited for him to come home aka us waiting for him to come back from military)
