Gonna say it, There are not enough modern games where you play as a legit, well made, diverse animal, and it makes me mildly upset I can't make games to do it myself

ZoeBlast 2103 sorry. The game was built for PCs, and recently phones. But I’m not sure how the newest version will do on a phone. Maybe in the future, when the whole game is finished, the developers will make it on PS4! That would be awesome.

Yup, and bait balls are the perfect opportunity for dolphins, sharks, birds, and seals to feed on small fish such as herring and sardines...until a big whale suddenly barges in and greedily eats a lot of fish.

I JUST finished playing Lost Ember. one of the most BEAUTIFUL games ever. It has such an enchanting story and the ending is the most heart squeezing one, made me shed a few tears. REALLY recommend Lost Ember for players!! Probably one of the first games that i'd ever rate 10/10
I adored Zoo Tycoon 2 as a kid so when I heard about Planet Zoo I was SO excited and literally started bouncing in my seat in anticipation. But dang, I didn't realize there were more awesome animals games coming out! So much to look forward to! Thanks for letting us all know! (I already put several of them on my wishlist. XD)

There's a game called "Vulpine" coming out this year that's an RPG about being a fox or other animal. There's another one called "Home Free" about being a stray dog in a city but the release date is unconfirmed.

The would more likely hunt like the one in 4:54 or scavenge carrion, but yes, the ones attacking the bait ball should probably have been animated gliding slowly to the shoal, taking a fish with a quick lunge, swimming away, then repeating

You descover new places and can pick up other monkeys in need. That way you will be able to expand your clan and eventually evolve into another species. All the way till you evolve to a human i guess.
All of these look so good! I think I'm most excited about Away, it seems like it's going to be a roller coaster. Beyond Blue looks really good, but just seeing the trailer was scaring me.
I wish there were more modern and realistic games like these, they just show you the wonders of nature and teach you to help it, something we should all do.

I’m actually surprised WolfQuest 3: Anniversary Edition is not on this list. It will go into early access this year (no date) and is such a MASSIVE improvement on the older game (and the current 2.7 version) it’s staggering. I highly recommend going to the WolfQuest TH-cam channel and checking out some of their dev vlogs. I’m pretty sure WQ3 will be one of the best animal sim games out there.
I know it's a bit late in this, but if you haven't checked it out, Spirit of the North looks like an incredible game with a fox as the main character exploring an open world. The trailer's out now and I'm pretty sure it's coming out in a month or two for the PS4.
Not complaining, and i do like the looks of these, but i think one game that deserves a place on this list is Wolf Quest 3. Quite possibly the most realistic wolf simulation game ever developed in this day and age. I think you should have put that one on here, but hey, its okay if you didnt find it. They do have a yt channel where they give weekly updates, so there's plenty to see. I recommend checking it out if you get the chance. Just search wolfquest, and you'll find their channel. They have a trailer as well as their dev blogs. The game has been under development for around two years now, and will be released on Steam.

WolfQuest 3 is revolutionary. Its one of the largest most detailed updates I've ever seen. Its going to be completely different than the current game in a very good way. They have been working on it for.. 3 years i think? Its a very naturalistic game playing as a wolf in the great Yellowstone National Park.
The game WolfQuest is based in northern Yellowstone. The devs are working on a new version of the game, Anniversary Edition, and Early Access is coming out for PC/Mac on July 25. ^-^ I suggest checking out their TH-cam channel and see the progress they're making on development. They upload every week on Thursdays!
Also, would like to see an option for the player character to interact with their animals in Planet Zoo with these actions: Feeding (requires feeding stations) Bathing (with water or mud) Training (requires toys and treats as rewards) Socialization Comfort for sad or angry animals Healing for sick animals

If people can make a game about dinosaurs and pull it off even though it's still in development (the isle) then why can't we have a similar game but with animals, magnificent creatures that we still can see, interact, and study today

Forgot Wolf Quest 3. Its a major update to the previous game with very realistic features like rogue male elk coming to fight for the herd.

Branching out to animal games is a great idea, especially because many of them will probably have a dinosaur DLC

A fish tornado is usually called a shoal or a bait ball cause it’s mostly made up of bait fish that others feed on.

Lost Ember reminds me of Okami (which I think BiS should play in his SoliVagrant channel).
