Really interesting, I don’t have kids but it was about your relationship and responses to this major life change. Everyone can relate to that. Thanks guys.
As many others : I'm 23 and no baby planned, but I love all your videos because they feel like big-sistery to me, getting all the parenting insight for later ... ty for sharing xx
I’m loving all your content lately (well always have but especially lately haha). I feel like you are so unique in the TH-cam space. I’m not subscribed to anyone else like you. I love how you aren’t overly dramatic or theatrical. I’m currently 7 months pregnant and I so appreciate you being open with your journey.
I swear people who see a man changing a diaper are more ready to think he's a gay dad than that he's just pulling his weight in a straight relationship, I hate this misogyny that expects a man would only take care of a child if a woman was not there at all
The omelette part killed me 😂 I had my twins a week after you had Grey and my husband is very hands on. The praise he gets is unreal and it drives me crazy.
I’ve raised five children, ( I think my oldest might be older than the both of you) but I still can relate to all your experiences. I got teary-eyed when you discussed grandparents names and Rich said his mom wants to be called, Gran but you think she still looks too young. Lots of my friends are coming into that grand parenting season and wow, if you could see them. These ladies are hot! So they’re grandkids call them Mima and Glamma. Watching this video decided it for me. When my turn comes I will proudly be Grandma, just like my mom and my own grandma. Thanks for the video. 🙏🏼
That's if you get a choice! My grandkid's other grandparents got first choice, so they are Grammie & Grampie ! We are Nanny (which is what I called my Nan) and Grandpa. There is also a step-grandmother involved, so she is Grannie Deb.
THANK YOU Lily for the comment about grand-parents already having done the whole baby thing! it doesn't get said enough. I would never just expect my mum who raised four kids to now start over and take my kids on a regular basis. I don't mean visits, trips together, the occasional overnight stay. But expecting them to give up all their well-earned free time is not fair. If they want to fine, but I know many that feel forced and end up being resentful instead of enjoying their grand-kids as they should be.
You are both so sweet guys! Mum of three here, they're all out of nappy phase already and as Rich said, now it's all about listening to them, really hearing and empathising with their emotions. Much harder than when I had two in nappies. You've got it right!
I can only repeat what I’ve already said: we fellow parents cannot be grateful enough for you two sharing not only the hard bits of parenting but the joy and love it also brings. I think it’s so so important to talk about those too- even if that’s not that entertaining as the mistakes and the difficult bits.
I'm a librarian and I do storytime classes for ages 0-5 years. I also do a baby storytime for 0-17 months. We get a ton of grandparents. They seem to enjoy being with their grandkids and they make friends with the other moms/dads/nannies who bring kids to the storytime. I'm sure it's hard, but there is just so much love there. Also I get a handful of regular dads coming to my storytime with their babies and it's great. The dads are ALWAYS engaged with their babies which is not always the case for the moms, which is interesting.
1. Omg Lily YES to dad’s getting major props for just being a dad. My husband is a stay at home dad and I work full time so I experience this all the time! 2. Rich saying “why would you just put those jeans there instead of folding them up and putting them in the drawer” is 100% me to my husband 😂 this video made me laugh
You two just get cuter and cuter! You’re both doing the parenting thing beautifully. There’s nothing more difficult or rewarding, so keep following your instincts and you’ll continue to do great. You know your baby better than anyone else. Loved this q&a!
I don’t have a child, though I am a reception teacher, and I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I love watching your relationship and the fact that you are equal partners in everything. I see so many friends, family and colleagues who are not and I don’t want that for myself, I want what you guys have.
Loved this currently 20 weeks pregnant. I’m already sick of my friends only asking me about how the baby and pregnancy is going. It also got me when you were talking about how people praise Rich for being a good day. My husband is a school teacher so the first month I’m back at work he will be on holidays. I was talking to my mum about when I was going back to work and she started saying “oh it will be good that he is baby sitting”. I was very quick to say it’s not baby sitting when it is your own child.
This could have been boring especially since i'm not married and don't have a kid, but you guys have such personality and are honest and humorous which made it very entertaining to watch!
Watching you together always makes me smile. I have my own Rich who just shouted from the next room: "See! Put things IN the dishwasher!" Really enjoyed the video!
In my culture when you have a baby you move into your mum’s house for 40 days you can stay longer if you want, and your mum sisters aunts grandma friends are all there to help constantly with anything u need and it’s amazing to see how so many ppl gather around to help ❤️ love your videos and loved this video though I don’t have kids but I’m an aunt to twins and I baby sit all the time 😃
Asma Shukralla I’ve heard of this. You must be of Indian origin? I’ve heard about the chicken soup too after birth. A network of helpers is wonderful! How does this impact on the fathers relationship with the baby? Also being away from your husband for so long?
Asma Shukralla wow that’s so lucky to have that opportunity. Makes sense to be that way but unfortunately in England and probably most western countries it’s just not possible because of work commitments amongst the other female family members.
20 year old without a baby and still loved the video! also love how you can see in yours eyes and the way you talk about her how much you genuinely adore her, very wholesome to see!
Loved this! So real and honest. Ahh I remember the first month night anxiety...literally used to dread the night times! When morning came I would sigh with relief even though I would be so shattered! X
Such a lovely video, and it’s wonderful to hear how much stronger your relationship has become after becoming parents. Your communication must be so good. I loved hearing Rich’s insight into fatherhood too.
Go to baby cinema!! I’ve taken my baby daughter and it was fab! Doesn’t matter if baby cries, if you need to get up and rock or burp baby. All the babies when I went were great and it was an adult film I went to see Xx
Absolutely love this! We have a baby girl exactly a month older and soooo much of what you say is the same! My husband (who is fab) is also always being cooed at for being a ‘hands on dad’ 🤦♀️ and the nap time noise!!!!! 😂 x
When it comes to the second one I personally think it’s easier to have one quickly after the first. Mine are 15 months apart in age and the newborn sleepless nights, nappy changes, baby toys etc... weren’t a shock to the system. However as much as we want 3, number 3 will be 4 years or more away because 3 in nappies or not talking is a touch too much for my brain to cope with.
I love that you both just seam to have a very balanced relationship. Fuck what other people say and just do what works for you as a family and couple. Loved this video.
What a brilliantly natural video! Watch & love all your content, but this video was specifically awesome. Don't have kids, but have 5 nieces & nephews and have heard it all from my bro & sis. This was great fun to watch!
great vid! rich seems v at ease with the camera. i love my youtubers having babies, live for this content - its such a cliche but its another world having a baby and i love hearing other peoples experiences! as hard as baby phase was im finding toddlerdom on another level. pass the cpffee! xx
Kelly H I had a challenging toddler as my first but still now with a 6 year old and 3 year old I can say that nothing so far was as difficult as the first 6 months of my first baby. She cried all the time and never slept more than 16 hours a day even as a newborn. The worst tantrums were nothing compared to that.
This was thoroughly entertaining. The way you both smiled when talking about Grey's favorite mannerisms, was just precious. Keep it up guys. I have 2 boys, a 3.5 year old and a 1.5 year old, and I can tell you from my experience, going from 1 to 2 kids was and is hard.
I don't know how to put it in words. But I previously had the issue that I lost interest in influencers when they got kids since the content changed drastically. With you it's different. I even watch all the baby stuff. You both have such a chilled and reflective approach towards the topic that it's just really enjoyable!
That was amazing, I love love love watching you talking about your daughter. I am trying to get pregnant and I am so much looking forward all the bad things that you speak about in this video, i guess that's how it is. Thank you for sharing!
Creasing at this video, such a genuine and honest video with no pressure. I don’t have children myself and haven’t even “started planning” if that’s a thing but I lobe your videos and wouldn’t miss one xx
LOVED this! I have a 5 month old, so I can completely relate. Would also love to hear more about day to day relationship stuff (that started with the last question) - you two are hilarious!! Also: YES to your little rant about applauding men for the simplest tasks, so true!! WOW, AN OMELETTE!! :D
I found this so funny, mainly because your experience as parents is so similar to ours. A very realistic and normal perspective on parenting. Keep up the good work coz you are doing a great job.x
I asked about Rich being hands on- my partner is great and sometimes even pops home on his lunch break for a cuddle and nappy change but MY GOD, everyone harps on about how good he is. I know, that’s why I had a baby with him 😂 Any time he is pushing the buggy/wearing the carrier we get stopped by every old lady we pass. I feel sad that not everyone has as hands on partners as we do, but where are the old ladies saying we’re amazing?? We’re flipping miracles! xx
I did the exact same thing as you with my daughter with regards to sleeping in her cot at a young age. Everyone told me not to but it worked for her and for us!
I share your views on routines for babies. I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant and so far all I’ve had drummed into me from the NHS is that babies do not want routine and I should be entirely baby led. This absolutely terrifies me as I’m quite an organised person who likes being in a routine x
Your baby will dictate things like when it's fed or when it needs it's nappy changed but you can build routines around these activities once you get a sense of what baby needs, when. You can also establish routines around nap time, bath time, bed time and social activities. Don't sweat it - you will be fine but do accept that you won't have a routine off the bat because every baby is different. It will take time!
you can create a routine for you but it doesnt mean baby will follow it, at least at first. for example you could start a routine at bedtime with bath and story etc...doesnt mean baby will sleep! at least at first they work on v short schedules of sleeping and eating. i would just relax and try and enjoy it. if youre lazy like me make the most of it and watch all your fave tv as that is only a small window of opportunity, if youre a get up a go i reeeeeally recommend finding your local sling library as they have AMAZING slings you can try out. i bought one while pregnant and didnt like it so assumed slings were off for us, but they are all so so different and it makes life soooo much less stressful. sorry this is mind vomit because my toddler is teething so im exhausted, i wish you all happiness and luck for rest of pregnancy! xxxx
Both of my grandmothers' names were Ruth. So until I was 6, I thought EVERYBODY'S grandmothers were called 'Ruth'. Now, my mother in law and my mother are not similarly named, one is like, "Yes! Call me Grandma!" to my kids, and the other keeps pushing something posher sounding (for Americans) like 'Gran'. My kids are beyond babies (3 & 8) but this was still a great video. Some of your 'bickering' feels VERY familiar (packing tape, especially, whhhhy they are sleeping!!).
I don't have a baby yet and I loved the video! You guys are so funny and touching. I hope my husband and me are as cool as you when we become parents! So nice to see you guys together.
I don't have children yet but have learnt so much from you and a few others that I feel so much more prepared for when the time comes! This was so cute and really made me laugh whilst also being informative. Loved it!
No children for me but I loved this video. Lol when you said at 4 a.m. “Rich Rich!” Rich “What’s my name?” You’re both hilarious and such good parents and a lovely couple.
This is very helpful. I am expecting my first baby this March and I am really excited but at the same time very nervous about it and hearing your stories help a lot. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us Lily & Rich. xxx
Lily I've got a 9 month old baby and feel exactly the same as you regarding body image. It's really hard, I'm in that middle ground as well but its nice to know I'm not alone 💗
Oh my dayzzz Rich please speak to my husband 🙏🏽🙏🏽. I would love to have a husband who was better at organising and cleaning the house more than me, it would make my life sooo much easier 🤣🤣🤣. Loved this video, lovely to see you both talk about ur parenting experience and the fact u have grown closer since having Grey.
For me that was precisely the problem-less care-free time together, cinema dates etc. but on the other hand constantly being togethet with a baby and getting on each other's nerves. That was a big challenge.
I have three children. From birth until about 5 / 6 months they slept in a crib by our bed and I put them all becoming good sleepers down to me always waking and as quickly as possible picking them up and feeding them, when they woke. After a couple of weeks, they didn't cry, just snuffled like wee piglets, and that was enough to wake me. I'm sure they learnt that I would respond straight away and they knew they didn't have to shatter my husband's sleep, after he'd been at work all day. I breast-fed so didn't have to warm the bottles. I am guilty of warming wipes on radiators!
I had no idea how to parent and then when my daughter was around one years old I stumbled across “gentle parenting” and it literally changed my life. I recommend reading anything by sarah ockwell smith before she turns one. I found this was when I had to bring in boundaries and positive discipline etc x
Omg you guys are amazing ❤️❤️❤️ I don’t have kids yet but so helpful! And you’re both so cute and funny and I have no fears of becoming a mum bc of how great you both are! Love from Australia xox
I leave all the kitchen cupboards open constantly! You can literally track where I’ve been. It drives my husband crazy and I don’t know why I do it!!!! It’s just me. He know he just has to shut them all again! Problem solved 😂😂 great video! Really enjoyed the reality of it x
I’ve just paused your video. I’ve watched you for a pretty long time, I have no intention of having kids but I’m enjoying this haha. It’s interesting, you guys work so well together and are funny too. 👌🏼💕
and I mixed my comments between the 2 videos, so keeping with it :) love your looks and how casual they are but still look clean and put together. you look amazing :)
Grey has the coolest parents!
I don’t have a baby and I thought this video was soooo coool so no worries Lily 🥰 we get to see more of your personality which is so lovely 😊
Julia Hodder thanks Julia x
I agree. I really enjoyed this video Lily!
"this video will be so boring for people without kids" i'm a child-less 24 y/o guy and deffo not bored! just broodier..
Leo Mateus 👍🏼
Hahaha same!
100% not bored. Don’t have kids, really want them and just trying to learn so much! 😂
You guys have such great chemistry, always a pleasure to watch
Really interesting, I don’t have kids but it was about your relationship and responses to this major life change. Everyone can relate to that. Thanks guys.

Rich is so sweet and honest about your ,,arguments". I laughed so hart about him beeing so spontaneous.

Rich is saying his answers with a “I hope this is the right thing to say” look. 😂
You two are so cute together ❤️
The two of you are such a good team and it’s really inspiring to watch. I love how involved both of you.
I’ve raised five children, ( I think my oldest might be older than the both of you) but I still can relate to all your experiences. Not married, dont have a kid, but still loved you video. Your videos are always so relaxing and real!!
I don’t have a baby but absolutely love your baby related content! And this video is great and so funny as well! 🥰
Video ended 5 minutes ago and I realised I'm still smiling! Lovely ♥️
I can only repeat what I’ve already said: we fellow parents cannot be grateful enough for you two sharing not only the hard bits of parenting but the joy and love it also brings. I think it’s so so important to talk about those too- even if that’s not that entertaining as the mistakes and the difficult bits.
As a mum this definitely resonated.
I’ve been watching Lily since the beginning. You two seem WAY closer now. Your teamwork is evident.
I can listen to you talk about anything! Always come back to this channel for real life content

Asma Shukralla I’ve heard of this. You must be of Indian origin? I’ve heard about the chicken soup too after birth. A network of helpers is wonderful! How does this impact on the fathers relationship with the baby? Also being away from your husband for so long?
Actually I’m arab in the Middle East we all live close by the husband is welcome to stay in the mother’s house if he wants or he can visit everyday. 💕
Asma Shukralla wow that’s so lucky to have that opportunity. Makes sense to be that way but unfortunately in England and probably most western countries it’s just not possible because of work commitments amongst the other female family members.
Asma Shukralla I would hate that lol all the meddling I needed our bubble didn't even want visitors the first few weeks.
20 year old without a baby and still loved the video! also love how you can see in yours eyes and the way you talk about her how much you genuinely adore her, very wholesome to see!
I don’t have kids, and I’m not planning to have kids, but I have been watching you for yeeeears and enjoyed this so much! 😊
Same
I'm a Grandmother - but I think you two are brilliant parents. I love how laid back you both seem. Well done!!
The 'whats my name' part was great
My youngest child is 34. I love watching you navigate this time in your lives. Well done !
You guys are so hands on, it’s incredible!
I’ve seen parents who are far less qualified for parenting, and the differences are astounding
Absolutely love this! We have a baby girl exactly a month older and soooo much of what you say is the same! My husband (who is fab) is also always being cooed at for being a ‘hands on dad’ 🤦♀️ and the nap time noise!!!!! 😂 x
I have a baby who's 4 months younger. So interesting to see what's similar and what the near future might hold. You both seem like great parents 💪🏻
When it comes to the second one I personally think it’s easier to have one quickly after the first. Mine are 15 months apart in age and the newborn sleepless nights, nappy changes, baby toys etc... weren’t a shock to the system. What a brilliantly natural video! Watch & love all your content, but this video was specifically awesome. Don't have kids, but have 5 nieces & nephews and have heard it all from my bro & sis. This was great fun to watch!
how quickly Rich said 'OU muffin basket' just really tickled me LOL I shall now buy muffin baskets for those with new babies.

I like the way Rich lit up when he said muffin basket 😆

Ahhhhh this makes me relive by son's baby days! He's turning five next month. I wish I'd had these videos when I was pregnant/a new parent!
„You cant avoid them, have to embrace them” 😅 love a good Rich quote

I'm 34 weeks pregnant and really enjoyed watching this!! Super helpful. I loved your baby content even before I was pregnant ♥️
My dad is affectionately known as Grumpa 😂
I don't have children yet but have learnt so much from you and a few others that I feel so much more prepared for when the time comes! This was so cute and really made me laugh whilst also being informative. Loved it!
This video was perfection ✨
No children for me but I loved this video. Lol when you said at 4 a.m. “Rich Rich!” Rich “What’s my name?” You’re both hilarious and such good parents and a lovely couple.
Your bedroom is STUNNING
You guys are so cute in such a real way. Loved watching this, and I have no kids (yet)!!
Loving your content at the moment, sooo real!! you're the coolest parents and so mature, i love watching you guys
HAHAHAHA Rich talking to you about your jeans. Oh my gosh this is great and the end is hilarious.
Love watching you and Rich and even though I don’t have babies I am still obsessed with hearing your perspective! Great videos!! XO
These are my favourite kind of videos, loved it! Xx
The end of this video made me really laugh!!! Thanks for keeping it real guys!
Love this video! You guys seem like such a great team.
You two are beautiful people, this was lovely to watch! X
I had no idea how to parent and then when my daughter was around one years old I stumbled across “gentle parenting” and it literally changed my life. I recommend reading anything by sarah ockwell smith before she turns one. I found this was when I had to bring in boundaries and positive discipline etc x
I love SOS as well. Such an interesting perspective.
This was brilliant! I love these kinds of videos. Sat here at 40+2 weeks. I love how honest you both are!
I love you guys keeping it real! You come across as the coolest parents! Lucky Grey!
Very single and baby-less but this is genuinely one of my favourite videos of you two! I laughed out loud so many times!
23, no kids, not married. I just love your videos 🥰
I haven't had this much fun watching a video for a longest time :) I am super exited to go back to these videos once I am a parent myself :)
You are both doing an awesome job as first time parents! x
Three is brilliant!!! The gap for mine are 2 years (hard but joyous now - as they are the best of friends) and then 3 years ... 🥰 Brilliant video 🌟
Could you make a video of Greys nighttime routine?. I really love this baby content!. It’s very helpful as I have a 5 month old myself.
Joining the group of "don't have kids but loved it". Also liking to remember one day to come back to this video.
I’ve just paused your video. I’ve watched you for a pretty long time, I have no intention of having kids but I’m enjoying this haha. It’s interesting, you guys work so well together and are funny too. 👌🏼💕
