Just heard Potter’s first West Ham interview & his first presser. What a delight to hear clear& precise structured approach. No more excuses for the players
Comes across as a great addition & talented manager that appreciates the club & its supporters
Let’s get behind the gaffer 100%

I'm 100% behind Potter. I hope he asked the club to officially sack Lopetegui before he signs - the club looked bad enough as is.
Regarding Potter, I will absolutely get behind him. His time at Östersund convinces me that he knows how to build a team. People might complain that it was the Swedish Leage but managing a team and promoting them from 4th division to a European competition is a feat that is exceptionally difficult. At Brighton and Swansea he looked really good, too. And in my honest opinion, anyone would struggle at Chelsea and be unhappy there. I know I would 😂

    • @sierraalphaalphabravo9705
      @sierraalphaalphabravo9705 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

Good summary - I was living in Sweden when Potter broke through with Östersund - he was an absolute sensation there. Put to the back of your mind the (alleged) player [dodgy] dealings at ÖFK since it wasn't him buying the players - not sure where this "Potter is Steidten's pick" stuff is emanating from though, first I've heard of it. I was that desperate to see the back of Floppy I'd have taken Brian, or for that matter, Harry, Potter!

He'll leave my good graces if he was to try to engineer or encroach into the recruitment or direction/vision side of things. Currently it's only Kresintsky and Steidten keeping Sully from playing proxy football manager.
We MUST keep the boundary so that the following holds true. Managers come and go, but the vision and direction stays the same. We can't have the situation where Potter pals arounds and slots in his man for the football director, only for the whole lot to be sack when he does and we have to start all over again.

@@GaryKillington Gary, you don't need to a shouter to be bold. That's my main criticism of Potter.
Maresca is a quiet man, and almost embarrassed in having to field questions as to why Sterling is in the U23s for the duration of the summer widow waiting to offload, but he made the bold moves pushing out Gallagher, Sterling and Chalobah for the betterment of the team.
Emery, mr. ebening man, made the bold choice of dropping Ollie Watkins for the upstart Duren.
De Zerbi made to bold moves to play youth, clocking in at 3,700 minutes in 23/24 - compared to the 10th placed Liverpool at 110 mins(West Ham obviously worst).
What we'll get from Potter is a safety-first approach, he'll do what he did at Brighton and Chelsea, play Dunk and Lewis, just as he did with a 36 yr. old Thiago Silva, just b/c it's comforting and the safest thing to do. He'll make sure to tick the boxes, like including Gallagher b/c he's a home-grown fav., rather than making the tough choices.
He doesn't really think outside the box. He's not overly bold.

I know you’re in sales, something I used in my business life, as you never know when that person on the other desk moves up the corporate ladder and they’re now responsible for your next order. The amount of times I heard salespeople ignoring, or talking down to that person and it coming back to bite them later.
The way people treat those in football is disgusting, Lopetegui and Dyche’s dismissals being a current example, regardless of what they’re paid or compensation.

I'm 100% behind Potter. He might be Mr Right Now instead of Mr Right but I'll support him and I hope the players do too.
I gave Loppy a chance and he did a poor job but he has handled himself incredibly well over the last few weeks and nobody deserves to be treated how Sully has treated him.
Very glad Loppy has gone but I'm incredibly embarrassed to be a West Ham fan this week so I'm looking forward to something to cheer about with a new manager 😅

@GaryKillington No. It was almost always a total mess with no plan or even thought for a plan before half time at best.

A death of a thousand cuts for Lopetegui,a 72 hour sacking,Sullivan has excelled himself Gary. The board or Sullivan should never had appointed Lopetegui from the start.Again out of work manager,no payout, cheap and available?Amorim would have been 3 times the cost and 3 times the manager, missed a trick there I feel.
We have Graham Potter and we need to back him 💯,I was prepared to back Lopetegui despite not wanting him.5 games in I was done with and thought he was a fraud of a coach, even pre season I was concerned. No tears shed for Loppy,a failure rewarded with £3 mill payout off you pop back to Spain fella.
I’m actually quite excited about the new Potter era,but a smidge cautious though.

My concern with Potter is that by any measurement criteria he failed at Chelsea with a far superior squad, imo, than he will inherit at West Ham. Good luck to him, comes across as a decent bloke, but I’m expecting another outing for the circus tent in the next 12 months.

  • @Boloblazer

Yall saying Potter aint th right fit for West Ham because he flopped at chelsea well chelsea was then a graveyard for managers after Abramowich sold the club.Lampard,Potter, Poch and even Tuchel who did a great job was sacked by Boehly.
Let us take Nuno Espirito Santo as an example. He was good at Wolves and but had a hard time at Spurs. So before Forest went for him most of their supporters were against Nuno replacing Steve Cooper.
But look at Forest now playing some great football. Potter aint a bad coach. He took swedish side Österunds from the fourth to first swedish division. He did great at Swansea and was fantastic at Brighton.
I tell you folks The game of football is lie gambling. You eigther win big or loose everything
