I discovered this slingshot in my moms boyfriends old old stuff and I was absolutely blown away by the sights and everything. I did some research and came across this video and now I love it even more! fantastic work from a great American made man and a great video from a great enthusiast! so wholesome! keep up the great work I hope you guys are still in buisness!!
I used to have these awesome Trumark slingshots in 1980 when I was 17 years old. One was the folding model FS-1 with a 55lb pull rubber band and the other was a WS-1 model, also having the same strength band. Those were the days when I was having fun shooting various types of bird and etc. During that period of time, they were pretty cheap, about 8 USD for the FS-1 model. I came to know about it when I was reading the 'POPULAR SCIENCE' magazine in my school (Methodist Boys' School) library in Penang, Malaysia.
I have been in the US many times, usually for business. Best steaks in the world. I like how cold the beer is, here in Germany it is lukewarm in comparison.
That was filmed in October, when a US TV channel financed a trip for a test pilot. I decided to do a little detour and visit Trumark. Editig took a while, tons of footage.
as a kid i was so obsessed with trumark slingshots. being in australia restricted me from importing them but i always dreamed of going to the boulder, colorado slingshot factory. i loved this video!
From someone who lives out here, thank you for visiting and hope you had a great time. If you like mountain drives, you should checkout Lookout Mountain next time. Also Buffalo Bills Grave/Museum is up there.
Joerg, I really enjoy your channel. Lots of great cool videos. I ran across your channel a few months ago and became an instant fan, all the way from San Antonio, Texas. Keep up the good work.
You have to keep in mind how inexpensive these must be. The distribution chain slaps on huge profit margins, and even then these slingshots don't cost much. For that budget, I could probably not make any kind of slingshot.
I guess they're fine if you like shooting at small cans, nothing beats your badass slingshots though! I really enjoy slingshots as we also have tight weapon laws. Much love and respect from Esbjerg, Denmark!
Joerg, great video! When are you going back to visit Mr. Ellenburg? I liked the story he told you of the woman who put the dog collar on the wrist brace. He may have many more! Thank you for your work.
I think that might be a noise from the hollow handles some of the Trumark slingshots have to store ammo. Didn't know about it until trying to find one to buy. I've got a little Daisy I bought last year and use in the yard right now, but it may be time to step up.
I have one of those rotating prong sling shots they make. They just stay on with friction. In the video you can see them putting the bands on. You really have to force them on and the bands don't produce enough force to pull them off.
very cool, joerg! trumark should produce some of your designs. for a share of profits, of course.. have they seen your badass slingshots in your videos?
I had one of these when I was a kid and I don't know what this guy is talking about. I know it probably wasn't as professional grade as your's Joerg, but it was pretty damn powerful and accurate. Although, I preferred my Daisy BB rifles for those damn snakes and squirrels!
that was cool.i've got the one with sights and folding wrist brace.took the wrist brace off though as its not that comfy and i'm strong enough not to need it.its a good slingshot though, better than barnett diablo pro.only two i've ever had so far.
jondoethereturn Wow you don't know much.. Aluminum absolutely does bend. I've seen aluminum bicycles bent to shit. They stress very easily and crack/break as well, but they most certainly do bend. I've even bent my aluminum bicycle water bottle cages to fit my klean kanteens in them more snug.
It depends on how it's hardened, and how quick or slow a force is applied to the metal.. The harder the metal is made the less it will bend and the more likely it is to chip, crack, or snap.. The softer the more likely it will bend. When making knives there is a happy medium for hardness to keep a sharp edge while not making the edge too brittle.

I was given one of these slingshots yesterday, and today, I got to see how it was made... This is why I love the Slingshot Channel!

German beer is strong!!! Good stuff!
American beer is stronger. Better stuff
@@gabekenyon4882 They both have good beer but I think US has the worst cheap beer.
@@rocketamadeus3730 the worst cheap beer in the world. a damn shame
When i was living in mexico all i had was a slingshot, its nice to see a channel about them :) easily one of the deadliest weapons in the wrong hands!
Awesome job Joerg! Great to see Mark's factory and the way they make all their slingshots. Great video from 2 great guys!
Good on them for having you as their guest.

Interesting shop. I like the revolving sights. Nothing compares to your creations though!
That was really neat. Thanks for giving us a tour of that plant, Joerg.
love that there still using the old machines nothing beats the reliability of the older technology
one of the cooler videos ive seen. i love these industrial machines.
Your awesome videos inspired me to get a slingshot and living in Colorado I got one of these.
Looks like the best production slingshots you can get !!

fantastic of trumark for being a great host to you *****
totally changed my view on truemark, they are not some evil corporation but really nice people, thanks so much~
I find it wonderful he is still making them in the USA and not in China with prison labor like so many others. hats off to Trumark.
I haven't seen this before,you live a charmed life.
Quite clear, it is the mass of the bands that turns them. Still, without the rotation, the bands would damage the sights significantly.
i prefer the hand made slingshots, but respect that this guy makes slingshots for everyone to use!
Yep. Cool to see you were here in Boulder.
I just want to say that I really enjoy ur channel
Frohes Neues , 61diemai
Joerg, I really enjoy your channel. Lots of great cool videos. I ran across your channel a few months ago and became an instant fan, all the way from San Antonio, Texas. Keep up the good work.
Will do - but this video was uploaded in 2012. I just waited for Trumark's approval. I always do that in case I have put in errors.

Very cool tour Joerg! I hope you enjoyed my home state Colorado as much I enjoyed my trip to Germany. :)
Very nice. I live around 30 minutes from Boulder. Awesome little town.
Love this channel Jörg. Next time you go back you should show him some of your things!
You get to go to some of the coolest places.

Hi Joerg! you should do a video of your collection of all your slingshots and bands! thubs up if you want a movie!
he is such a legend
just ordered one of there sling shots the other day it is really nice to know they are so well made. can I ask what you use to carry ammo?
Thanks for the video. Thanks for sharing. :D
Cool Stuff, Joerg. Keep up the good work. : )
a good product for the commonman ; how did you get your gifts thru the tsa ?
wm moran Checked luggage, not a problem and totally legal.

He was good to you... I’ll check their website.
that was very interesting Joerg thank you
Got some trumak today thanks Joerg
this is a cool video :)

Nonono dear Joerg, the best meat in the world is in Argentina! Nice video
ahhh... now im jealous of the presents that he gave you!
I used to have a tube slingshot. The tubes are on pretty tight. I would usually have to lubricate the tubes to get them to slide on.
Nice video:)
cool field trip
I saw my first slingshot!
Just realized that after all this time, I had forgotten to subscribe!

I want a job at that place !!!!!!! That would be so great !!!!!
No, it would be so boring - repetition, repetition, and more repetition. Etc., etc....
The aluminum slingshots bend; while the steel ones are much stronger.
depends on how much pull and what type of bands your using
aluminum doesn't bend dumbass, it breaks
jondoethereturn Wow you don't know much.. Aluminum absolutely does bend. I've seen aluminum bicycles bent to shit. They stress very easily and crack/break as well, but they most certainly do bend. I've even bent my aluminum bicycle water bottle cages to fit my klean kanteens in them more snug.

When making knives there is a happy medium for hardness to keep a sharp edge while not making the edge too brittle.
I used to build my sling shots out of an inverted potato masher, perhaps you should look in to doing it as an experiment :3
He kinda already did, + there is a video on most of his slingshots anyway...
you should do videos about how you build the slingshots
With the black bands, would they be good for hunting?
this is cool! I would like to work there :D
Better than Mr. Rogers' Picture-picture.
Trumark is in Boulder? I live there!
You didn't give the presidient an original Sprave Slingshot as a present? :D
Made in the US of A ! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I depends on where you get your beer.^^ I do like the temperature of the beer I get here in Germany.
Joerg makes better ones
Those things r insane
Didn't you brought your Assault Slingshot rifle?...Just kidding happy new year, joerg!
Thanks
The world will need your knowledge when the zombie apocalypse start ;D
Damn.. I just had to order one after seeing this video... so I did! ^^"
