Please help, every time I do the R’ D’ R D algorithm, then turning the top layer and repeating, once the top layer is solved the whole megaminx is messed up. What am I doing wrong?
It could be either you are messing up a move or 2, or one of the corners is flipped wrong. If I were u, once you get to the last corners, turn them around to be solved, then that way you at least know that isn’t that problem. Then scramble and solve again. Hope this helps

Nic! Awesome video, the best Megaminx one on TH-cam & the only one that I could actually grasp & that makes sense. In just one afternoon, I can now do everything without notes, except the last layer, but I think with my existing "cubing" knowledge I can now probably work that out for myself as well. Now I kinda know how it works & you can approach it as basically a 12 sided puzzle, that works like 2 conjoined regular 3x3s, with its own special cases. Thank you so much! I am stuck on the bit where you have to permute the corners. A few days ago my brother accidently popped it and I just put the edge pieces back randomly. Now when I do the algorithm it just doesn't solve the edge pieces. Do you have any suggestions on fixing this. Do I just take the pieces out and solve the megaminx.
Hey,ive got a question,and pls answer😢everytime i do the "blocks"...and im on my last 1,when i do the last one,1 or two previous blocks that i made get messed up,how do i do all the blocks without messing up the previous ones?im doing the same thing that i did before but its not worling on the last one.🤷
Think of it like the 3x3. Solve the green and purple pair just like the others. Experiment with different moves to move the pieces around so they are easier to pair up. Then insert them.
Ok when u do it triple check that u don’t rotate the cube at all. And when u solve the corner u are working on u need to rotate the last layer to the next corner that u need to solve. It is easy to forget to do one of the last D moves
ummm for some reason when I do the last step my Megaminx doesn't get solved but thanks for showing me how to do everything else in a very easy and fast way
edit: I figured out why i had troubles and now hen I do the last step my Megaminx solves thank you for teaching me the way to solve a megaminx in a very fast and easy way
Hi HyperCube! Thanks for the video. Excellent instructions. Just a note: at 14.18, the sune you note is using a U2', but with the the megaminx, it should be U3'. Just a slight variation of the 3x3 sune. Thanks again and keep cubing. :)
does not work i tried every youtube tutorial but still nothing, when it comes to the corners obove the colours everytime i come to he last one it all shattters i hate it
I think the Megaminx cube is not hard at all. It is just an extended 3x3 cube. The 4x4 cube is harder as it has some ugly parties that are hard to solve due to their long algorithms. This cube is a pure excitement.
After you solve the white star and then the white corners, you have to solve the next layer just like on a 3x3 u need to solve the middle layer. Then u solve the 3 pieces above that: corner and 2 edges. Watch the video closely but if u still can’t do it I can try to help

Yeah you probably have to just take the edges out and put them in the right place.

last step is just like the beginner method on the 3x3, flip the cube with the gray facing down, and do the sexy move.
What is the cube notation for this algorithm: 9:05 I'm having trouble recognizing it.

If only 1 of the grey edges is flipped wrong, then u need to physically take the piece out and flip it. That case is unsolvable.

Make sure that you do all 4 of the moves every time. It also could be that one of the corners is twisted and needs to be physically turned around.
