The Mclaren us just so op. It has unbelievable straight line performance and handles like an LMP car.

The F1 GTR is absolutely my favourite of the bunch, it’s my favourite racing machine of any kind.
In GT4 terms:
4th: Panoz
3rd: BMW Mclaren
2nd: R390
1st: AMG

@@samjoe5044 Exactly, yes, it cost the same as most full on Prototype's, though, its probably because of its legend status rather than its speed, that, it so expensive it being part of that GT1 golden years era.

Muammar Gibran Because those cars didn't come out yet. Usually GT never adds cars that come out later than their releases, only Vision GT cars and some GT5 DLC cars abide that.
Godzilla why don't give them as free dlcs? I mean we can have the m4 and the safety car variant and also the nismo gtr lm, but there's no sign of ts040 or updated version of r18
Or as in GT Sport, I haven't seen anything about those cars... will it be added someday?
Muammar Gibran Because Polyphony has to get the license for the cars they want to add unless they have a deal like they did with Nissan and currently with BMW. If they don't have the license for cars that came out a year after the game did, they're likely to not add it because of that.

Oh we'll be doing that for sure. I haven't singled down which ones we'll cover in which matches yet though.

the CLK LM present in GT is the FIA GT version with a 6.0L M119 V8. there was also a 5.0L version(the exact same engine as the Sauber C9 but revving higher) specifically for Le Mans. also, if you add the GT1/LMGTP Toyota TS020, where would it be?
For that to be fair you have to add the 1998 spec of GT-One the only problem is that car is not in GT6 the 1999 Gt-One was substantially quicker around a track because it didn't contain any road car parts it was a full on Prototype so technically speaking the 1999 Gt-One is far superior to these 4 cars.
It would be cool to test your points system with a group of cars with similar performance and to race them on 10-15 different tracks in the game to see which car was best overall in terms of both the points system and number of fastest lap times.

The panoz could actually hang close on some tracks with the clk and 911 gt1 irl, sad that they made it weight too much to hang with it's real class in gran turismo without drastically slower bop's for the other gt1 cars
For sure. Same issue with the Lister Storm as well, which I also love.
The Lister is awesome too, hopefully if they come back polyphony will get them right this time. If you ever need a lightning fast Panoz controller tune for any reason just let me know

An idea: In all the rivals match ups you do, use the same track for the lap times for all the cars as a point of comparison. I get why you don't award points for the lap time because of all the variables, it would be interesting nonetheless though.
Could you do a Hyper Rally car battle between the V6 Escudo Pikes Peak Special and Monster Sport SX4 and maybe the Tajima E-Runner even though you've already used that in a Rivalry. I asked for this last time even though this was a very good request as well. But the Suzuki vs Monster Sport would be interesting as well.
Yeah that rivalry has been suggested quite a few times, and we'll be covering it in the future.
Isn't the Escudo *waaay* lighter than the Monster Sport with around the same power?
Though taking it away from Hammers points thing the Escudo has huge turbo lag, making it near useless if you lengthen the gear ratios to a competitive top speed.
algebuckina Even on a relatively high speed track with plenty of corners like the Nurburgring, the Escudo's beyond-LMP cornering capabilities can give it the edge on almost any track. Even with the turbo lag, a thing called tuning exists where you can easily negate it.
In answer to the weight question, yeah the Escudo is significantly lighter than the SX4. Just under 800 kgs compared to over 1000.
If gearbox reliability was a thing, the Nissan would get minus a million points.

Much as I love the McLaren F1 GTR Longtail more than pretty much any other GT1 class car ( I love the Toyota GT-One but that's more of a prototype than these ones), it, being faster than these others is not really at all accurate to real life had ther been a 1998 version maybe it would have been quickest but there was not as BMW Motorsport pulled out after 1997 (after narrowly losing the 1997 title to Mercedes) the version that raced in 1998 was to '97 spec due to the downforce war that was already off the pace by the start of the 1998 FIA GT Championship
So with all the knowledge on these cars that I have I thought it would be fun to list what car of these 4 really is quickest and in what order
1. Mercedes CLK-LM '98
2. Nissan R390 GT1 '98
3. Panoz Esperate GTR-1 '98
4. BMW McLaren F1 GTR '97
In reality the McLaren from 1997 would be about 3 seconds per lap off the CLK-LM and about 10 secs off at Le Mans
However let me say that I in no way complain at how things are in the GT games indeed it makes sense for all of these cars to be close to each other. The thing I take issue with is in my fav GT game GT2, the viper GTSR could compete with the Toyota Gt-One,, the Viper should be at least 15 seconds per lap slower, than the Toyota Gt-One, and 30 seconds per lap slower if Le Mans were in that game .

The GT One is a GTP car and should be compared to the Bentley speed 8
Without tuning each car I would use the bmw mclaren.......it has better handling
