Thank you for being a hand, and not playing techno in the video. 👌🏻

You've convinced me to just make a bumper, but I have one concern. I've seen winch plates that were 3/8" thick twist and bend.

He did an awesome job, very nice work. I’m working on stalling my winch right now and re-customizing my bumper and I want to make low like yours.

Nice! I watched with the volume down so I didn't catch any specs, like what gauge metal and what which dud you use? And how's it holding up?
    Real clean cool look!

Rich Gran thanks for watching this was a scrap build the mounts and winch plate are 1/4 steel and the rest is 3/16 plate steel. I got lucky and found the winch at tracker supply on clearance for $130.00 WITH SINTHETIC ROPE

    Flux core 😩🤦🏻‍♂️

    •  4 ปีที่แล้ว

On a home weld job, flux core is ok but it lends itself to a lot of clean up but if your welding in the yard and get wind gusts, you have a high chance for porosity with just gas coverage. I've welded professionally for 40 years and flux core is used a lot. I've actually used flux core with a double gas coverage, one on the top and one underneath. Fluxcore is messy but if your good about clean up and grinding your start and stops you'll do fine and chances are you won't end up with porosity.

Nice bumper, but you shouldn't do that with the dog. It could have gotten injured. Those hot sparks and small fragments of steel can't be good for it's eyes, mouth etc.
