Guy and Lee were the only ones who kept the theme from the beginning of the story about how hard work beats natural talent, if they had a less comedy-oriented personality either one could have made a good protagonist.

Guy didn’t have it in him to kill in cold blood if it meant protecting the village, something obviously Kakashi and Itachi had no problem doing. His horrified reaction to Itachi executing the wounded but still alive enemy ninjas say it all and he finally understands the true nature of the ANBU.

As a child, I thought Gai was this weird comic relief character. But as an adult, he’s one of my favorite characters. He fights with everything he’s got and lives with all of his heart. He is truly a splendid ninja!
Rock lee and Gai really changed my life as corny as it sounds.
After i watched his backstory episodes, he instantly became my favorite character. I loved how Kakashi also took Gai extremely seriously, because he was aware that someone with that amount of mental fortitude was not someone to be taken lightly
He is the awesome example of hard work, dedication, loyalty and big spirit, unfortunately in a universe where you ancestry weights more than any of that 😂
what a beautiful character. truly beautiful. the humility, the struggle, the acceptance of a harsh and painful reality regarding his traits and his father's, his goodness and purity never wavered-he preserved, cherished and passed on all the good things his father tried to instill in him, 0 ego, never being weighted down by it, always, genuinely thinking about others. might guy is an amazing character. i really find him very moving

Might Guy went from someone I found creepy as a kid to really loving as a character as I grew up. He had such a good relationship with Lee we all rightfully was under the impression that Guy was Lee’s father. Let’s be honest, it would be nice if there were more people with Guy’s genuine personality and perseverance. He’s a great balance and optimistic force for all who he involves himself in.
Rock Lee looks like a freaking Mii, just something to think about.

He is also the most parental sensei out everyone. He remains unbiased and still give compassion to other team kids. The way he trained his own team also still the same level as their age and skill, unlike Kakashi's bell test. He is an amazing person. Him and Kakashi also unseperable. He always in time to save KAkashi, vice versa. It also helped kakashi to deal w feelings too and in the end, be more open and relaxed. Thank you Dai for raising such man
Bruh that fight of gaara and Lee was so impacted just him recounting it and the ending with guy comforting Lee and telling him he's a splendid ninja. Shit almost got me shedding tears again. Just shows how amazing that whole fight and aftershock was.

One of the crazy parts of Guy sensei is that he mastered a difficult
ninjutsu in Summoning, which is established as highly difficult and rare among
most ninja and only the most powerful ninja use summoning.
His ninjutsu slaps he just prefers to punch and kick, it's great!
When you realize 6 gates Gai could face a tailed beast.
Based on what lee did during the chuinin exams gai doesn't need to go above 3 gates to take on a tail beast. Sure if hes going to fight 8 tails or 9 tails he would need to unleash 6 to 7 gates. It really depends on his opponents ability.
Guy is moving a speeds and throwing punches most opponents cant respond to or tank.

I think against Gaara Gai could have used indeed only 3 gates.
Gaara was defeated by Naruto headbutting him thus making him unconscious.
I think one of Gai punches would be enough to do the same.
But against Bee or Utakata, Gai might need 6-7 gates yes.

Might dai was an underrated character he created a legendry red beast which almost killed the madara uchiha
Guy vs Madara was hands down my favorite fight in the series. Night Guy is one of the greatest attacks in the shows history in my opinion. And the fact that Madara acknowledges him as the greatest taijutsu user he has ever seen is a testament to how absolutely rank Guy is.

The thing I like about Madara declaring him as the “most powerful ninja”, is not because in only taijutsu, or before naruto and sasuke resurrected.
I mean yeah, rn Naruto and Sasuke are more busted, but Naruto always had Kurama to help him, and the Sharingan is fckin OP. Gai reached that level with pure hard work and nothing else, not any help, any Tailed Beast nor Kekkei Genkai. He IS the most powerful ninja in that sense

Dai,guy and lee are my favorites aside from gaara those 3 were the underdogs which is very much how I was growing up,and their randomness is how I am now but doesn't lessen the humor they add lol Guy is definitely the "dad" of the teachers
