Fun/sad fact: lou reed was supposed to sing in the background at the end of this song but he died on the morning of the day he was supposed to record the vocals:(
To me this is Lana at her funniest. Depending on how you look at it is either a hilarious takedown or a loving homage to the idea of the stereotypical hipster you'd see at a quaint coffee shop. From her boyfriend being in a band, a rare jazz collection, feathers in her hair, hydroponic weed, beat poetry. All hipster stuff. I think this song is clever as fuck.
This whole album is pretty sarcastic- fucked my way up to the top, money power glory, this song.. I love it. There's so much dark matter in this album but I love how sassy and sarcastic a lot of it is
i honestly disagree lol listen to LOVE where the whole point is connecting with youth, i dont think this song is sarcasm AT ALL. i think lana has tried on many different hats and this was one at the time.
I'm in love with your gigles haha love this reactions. there's something I think of this song that I'm going to share here. when she sings "I say/ I say" I think she's referencing a song by Lou Reed where he goes "Lisa says" multiple times. her name is Elizabeth so I think she feels pretty cool about that song.
hi suffi! could you maybe react to achilles come down by gang of youths? it's about the relationship between achilles and patroclus, i think you would really like to dissect it
you yanks are too literal... lana is all poetry singing not literal truth but flashes of impressions still true in their own way... luv your earnest effort though (just beware of the importance of being earnest..)

wtf???
@@veyviolet yes so shocking and sad :(
She changed the world in honour of him
Also he was ready to co-produce the whole album but yeah his untimely death was unexpected and he would've had his hands on this whole project.
“‘My boyfriends pretty cool but he’s not as cool as me” one of my absolute favorite lyrics of hers 😂😂
I was just singing that in my head.! My favorite too.

My favourite lana del rey song and second favourite song all of all time
She not from Brooklyn. She comes from upstate. But Brooklyn hipsters aren’t typically from Brooklyn either. She’s just having fun and being facetious.
I like people who appreciate good music
She was born in 1985, in New York City.
