@@malonedrum yeah cool to see the channel pumping away, soon enough they will be sending mics consoles, and cymbal packs to test out! Keep up with the grind and have fun while doing it!
Hey Mike! Great review. How would you compare this one to the SSL12 then? I remember you praised the SSL12 for the similar things as the PreSonus. Is there anything the PreSonus had that the SSL12 does not? Thanks a lot for a great review!
The SSL is as you'd expect a bit nicer sounding pre's, but for convenience and usability this is simpler. For me, since I'm using this size interface for just demos and video work, Im not sure I benefit from the better sounds from the SSL. I like the app from PreSonus more, and the loop back is easier to use .
Mike. I saw your behringer xr18? Curious if you use the p-16m or that unit for live gigs? Reason I ask is, in a previous video you reviewed the xvive system and I’m curious if you would review something that’s a stereo IEM unit similar to the shure or sennheiser but perhaps more budget friendly. Thanks!!
I used to use it for live gigs and for larger studio work, but this summer I retired it and moved onto an Allen & Heath CQ-20b. I've been fixing up a few things with the old XR18 to have on hand in the studio for recording still when needed, but the A&H is pretty amazing as well. As far as dedicated interfaces though, I really like this PreSonus, and the Quantum8 is great for having a similar workflow to many of digital mixers (Storing presets, etc).
Wow, Mike. Amazing video. So well edited. Sweetwater definitely got their money out of this one. Great job!
Ha, thank you!
Loved the way you demonstrated the interface with a great recording project!
Appreciate it
The final sounds awesome Mike! - The Pocket Kings....are in the pocket!!
Thanks!
Congrats on the sweetwater partnership, hope they can. Send ya some dw drums next!
I wouldn't hate it.

Mike likes shure mics! 👍
I like tons, but I have a number of great Shure mics.
