I saw it recently with a black man who the news reported was ‘shot at 96 times by police at a simple traffic stop’ when in reality, he was a dangerous felon, repeat offender, in possession of a firearm, which he shot at the police first while they were directing him to exit the vehicle, he wasn’t even supposed to have a gun he was out on probation/bond, and the news showed his graduation photo despite him being much older than the time he graduated, and his mother cried on the news. I felt so bad when I initially saw it, then I looked into the story and the news made it sound completely different. That’s when I started reading and researching on my own and stopped trusting anything I saw on the news. I am not supporting anyone losing their life, I just want to know all of the true information so I can formulate my own opinions.

The social media accounts painted a much different picture, but which were you allowed to see? These are the facts, not the picture the media portrayed. The only question is why none of these facts were made available to the public?

I felt so bad when I initially saw it, then I looked into the story and the news made it sound completely different. That’s when I started reading and researching on my own and stopped trusting anything I saw on the news. I am not supporting anyone losing their life, I just want to know all of the true information so I can formulate my own opinions.

The social media accounts painted a much different picture, but which were you allowed to see?
