My father is from Ontario and he said the great lakes would have their own weather system. He recalls sailing one time, I think it was Lake Superior, and although it was a beautiful sunny day, within half an hour they were capsized by these towering waves. I can imagine something happening with the weather that interfered with the planes navigation and helped down the planes.
Living near the Great Lakes for the majority of my life, I have heard so many amazing stories of the paranormal and historical variety, in regards to the lakes! With that in mind, I'd say we're starting the video off strong!!🎉❤

Fun story: somewhere in the Smithsonian there's a giant squid my late grandfather brought in with help from my great-uncle while they were still working in commercial fishing.
@lakeshoreshepherds741 🤣 it was in the Atlantic, around 1980 or 81I think? It's been a while since I've read the article, but I know it was before I was born.
@JellicleKitten I know that squid! I grew up not far from Washington D.C. and every year we’d go to the Smithsonian on field trips. That squid was always our meeting place. It’s so flipping big that even as an elementary school kid I was in awe of the men who caught it. I figured they had to be giants. 🙃
A childhood friend of mine was found in the sewer, in 1997, 7 years after she disappeared. She was 22 years when she vanished. Her murderer have never been found.
I had a childhood friend with her limbs found in different suitcases, the case ( no pun intended) was never solved. I,m 53 now, and still think about it . 🤔
I think this style of video would be fine as an occasional thing. I do prefer the single topic ones but I can see how mixing it up now and then benefits both us as viewers and you as a creator, keeps things from feeling too samey.

In my experience it’s most frustrating when it’s near enough to the present that it should definitely be in an archived newspaper (microfiche, scanned, deep in the library’s bowels) and the city’s government records, but it’s back enough that fires or floods or accidental loss or misfiling or you weren’t scanning for the right keywords etc all mean it might be there, or not, and you can never be sure you didn’t just miss the nice clear explanation
A highway through the city I grew up in had entrance/exit ramps in every single suburb and out into the country. It was 65mph with concrete walls on either side. I lived in a typical suburb, not the middle of the city but also not way out to one end of the highway or the other. For some reason no one ever explained, our entrance ramp was the ONLY one for hours in either direction with a big sign that prohibited riding a horse onto the highway…
Oh yeah, Twisty was much creepier than Pennywise!! The remake of It was definitely part of it though, I remember reports of red balloons tied to sewer grates, even in areas where there were no clown sightings.

There's a "well, I never!" story developing in Victoria, Australia right now. Back in July three people died from mushroom poisoning, after having lunch at the house of a woman called Erin Patterson (aka Mrs Mushroom). Two of the victims were her parents-in-law and the third was, if I remember correctly, a sister-in-law. A fourth guest, the sister-in-law's husband survived, but at one stage they were saying he needed a liver transplant, so he was unquestionably very, very unwell. She issued one statement not long after the initial deaths and a second "clarifying" statement a couple of weeks later. There were at least three glaring problems with the clarification. She claimed that the mushrooms she'd used had been bought at a supermarket "and a Chinese grocery store a couple of years ago." Now, a couple of years ago Victoria was in the midst of the longest COVID lockdowns in the world, so that travelling from Leongatha, where this occurred, into a "I can't remember" location in Melbourne would have only been possible in a few short windows of time. Then there was the issue of the delay in consumption: if the mushrooms from the Chinese grocery had been poisonous (and let's ignore the soupcon of racism implicit in this), then other people would have found out when they used them shortly after purchase. Then there's the whole improbability of using two year old ingredients to make a meal for guests. Even if the ingredients were still fresh (some of the mushrooms were allegedly dried), most people would buy new ingredients to make sure that they were fresh and also to make sure they have enough. (I know I have a bad habit of thinking I've got a lot more food stashed in the refrigerator & its freezer than is actually there.) That brings us to Thursday 2 Nov 2023. Mrs Mushroom was arrested and charged with three counts of murder and several more counts of attempted murder. There were several counts of attempted murder because not only did she nearly kill her brother-in-law, she also made several lunch attempts on her (ex) husband. Also intriguing was the fact that Victoria Police had brought in technology sniffer dogs and their handlers from the Federal police. I hadn't heard of technology sniffer dogs before. Apparently they can be used to try to find such things as SIM cards and thumb drives. I'm going to guess Mrs Mushroom had a SIM card in the name of Ann Onymous, and she used that device to google such intriguing topics as "identifying death cap mushrooms" and "how to disguise the taste of death cap mushrooms".
Your unflinching account of the night doctors and their impact on the physical and psychological lives of the Black American community is greatly appreciated. A lot of Americans want to pretend that black people don't have a reason to fear or view the American medical industry with deep suspicion, but the Black American community had always been robbed of their humanity and physical autonomy in a country that views them as disposable guinea pigs for the whims of white Americans. This could not be facilitated without the vile and degrading practice of chattel slavery that helped build this nation. As an Afro-Caribbean woman living in the US, I have always been vocal about how the lived history and shared suffering of enslaved or freed black people in the Western Hemisphere impacts our mental, emotional, and physical health, and I know how important it is for people to speak openly about this history so we can recognize it and stop it from ever happening again. Thanks again for a wonderful video. 🙏🏾
I think you are a delight. The effort you put into your channel is obvious. As are the spots you do for your sponsors. Thank you for your work and your lovely voice! 💖
Oh Paul! I don’t think I could get bored listening to you tell stories! I’ve loved every single video since I became a subscriber and I trust your judgment that whatever you decide, is fine with me. Years ago I read the book “It”, and had nightmares for months. I certainly don’t want to see the movie! And yes, clowns freak me out too!! Blessings always! ❤️✝️
Oh, same. I happened to have silvery white curtains in my bedroom, I got scared by them too many times, especially while waking up and the window was open, making them flutter.. mr King isnt the father of horror for nothing, Pennywise lived rent free in my head for months! I rarely get so bent out of shape by books.. And I ended up giving the horror curtains to a friend, I just couldnt live with them :)
We have so much technology now, I find it odd that no one has explored the depths of Lake Superior; There's probably a ton of plane and ship (sailing ships, not spaceships 🤣) wreckage to be found that wound solve a lot of missing person mysteries.
The trouble with massive bodies of water such as Lake Superior is the deeper you go the more difficulty technology has, the lack of light, the weight of the water, the currents, its just not viable a lot of the time.
@jaynedavis4667 True. But it's not as deep as the ocean. If people can take horribly unsafe submarine 12,500 ft to try to see the Titanic ruins, we can safely delve 1,333 ft into Lake Superior to try to spot some wreckage. I think the fact that there's no money to be made from such an expedition is the only thing stopping a modern search. Where's an anonymous, rich benefactor when you need one!?
Draining the Earth's waters has always fascinated me. One of my fantasies is for a couple hours to have all the waters on Earth evaporate just so we can send thousands of drones to record what's there. Can you imagine all the mysteries finally explained? Of course I realize that could never happen but I still like to fantasize.
I think that there are also many official organizations against deeper and more probing explorations of Lake Superior as a result of all the people who have died there. Some of the families of the men who died on the Edmund Fitzgerald, for example, consider the lake a grave and don't want the remains of their relatives disturbed in any way, including for "research purposes" or even merely by accident.
Keeweenaw is the north most point of Michigan, it's actually on the south coast of the Lake. I love your videos, and as soon as you said Lake Superior in the Autumn... I knew this was gonna get weird.
Interesting stories. The Night Doctors...sounds terrifying...would make a good plot for a horror movie...just saying they make movies about everything else.
That would be a cool and creepy, ... well, it could be a series, so much stuff happens at night in the hospitals, it even could have different locations and different topics, sell your idea
If you want to see something similar then watch an episode of circle of fear aka ghost story named "spare parts".Its a tad cheesy and not scary really but it's on a similar vein ,on TH-cam if I remember correctly.
As soon as I open one of your videos, I give you an immediate thumbs up. I think your content is wonderful! I would love to see more stories like these ones you presented here, thank you so much for your hard work sir, and may I wish you a happy birthday?
I do quite like unsolved mysteries. I think most of the time there is a logical explanation to it all, even if we haven't discovered it yet, but it can be fun to speculate.
I see a Brit who looks like a mad scientist or country Lord talking about space, mysteries, monsters or frankly just about anything. I click. Liked and subbed sir. 👍
Did you hear about the cases of the random shoes?. In 2018 here in Canada , a dozen shoes with human remains / feet in them were discovered on the beaches of British Columbia. One case was solved already in 2019 and the rest havnt as of yet.. I realize now this channel covers more modern cases, so im surprised it hasnt been covered here anywhere yet, it covers some canadian stuff lol.
I saw something about the B.C. shoes with feet on television not long ago. Can't remember what channel, tho. Somebody decided the case was solved and claimed it was all down to natural phenomena such as ocean currents, etc. [Nothing to see here...move on!] Still, actual, fully dressed live people did have to go into the ocean at some point, whether or not they all went in together, before the currents could do their magic, destroy everything from the ankles up, concentrate the shoes and disgorge them onto beaches. OK Still creepy.
I suppose the shoes-with-feet-in-them mystery could possibly be explained by someone in a boat falling overboard. As decomposition progressed the flesh of the legs rotted away and the foot would tend to separate from the ankle joint because there would be no tendons , flesh, or ligaments to keep it attached. The feet would be protected from falling apart by the shoes and decomposition would also be somewhat slowed. Also, how unbelievably creepy to be walking on a beach and run across a shoe with a foot in it! Horrifying!
Here in Australia we had a woman wanted for fraud go missing the day her house was raided by authorities. Months went by with everyone looking for her. Hundreds of miles away a foot in a running shoe was found on a beach. DNA proved it to be the missing woman. No other parts of the body were ever found ( so far) The discovery enabled the authorities to pronounce her deceased and her multi million assets seized to sell off and repay something to the family and friends she ripped off for their life’s savings. Some people still think she cut off her own foot to evade capture.
I very much enjoyed you doing a take on icebergs; good to see someone with facts and maturity having at it as a change from true crime. My opinion on clown sightings is that they were tied to the TV show, American Horror Story. A few incidents were blown up by the media and perpetuated by the internet, then it took off. Most of it was harmless, but there always seems to be those with ill-intent wherever you go. However, if you want to be unobtrusive, a clown costume is not the best way to go.
I live near lake Superior and I think they went down and were lost at sea as they would say lake Superior is 1,332 feet deep. And at some point they did have a dive team, unsure when they were in circulation. Thank you for the stories love them
Somewhere in north America there were two clowns walking around their town late at night when the cops stopped them and started talking to them it was found out that they were a couple and had left very young children home alone sleeping to go out and clown around. The clowning was not illegal however they were charged with child endangerment for leaving kid(s) that were too young home alone. I don't really care about the clowning but was happy to hear they were charged and not just given a warning for endangering the children. Sorry I don't remember time, place, or names.
Fun thing! The killer clown one I witnessed first hand (I live in one of the named places) And I was in my school yard, a clown was on the other side of the fence while a whole bunch of kids watched it, some screaming, others tryna provoke it (I was a provoker- lol) eventually the police were called by a teacher tho, I can’t remember what it was but the clown was holding smth (probably a weapon) and standing nearby this woodland area we had at the gate
ive loved all your videos and this one is just as perfect. You are so thorough in your explinations and discussions and take a neutral side to it all, which I love! Thank you for all your very hard work :)
My family is from Michigan's upper peninsula, I lived there many years. There are numerous stories from locals as well as my grandparents regarding unidentified objects in the sky, especially over KI Sawyer air base. My grandmother swore on Bibles that she saw these things in the air as a child in the 1910's. My brother and cousins had encounters in the woods, the native Americans also tell these stories. In 1994 I myself saw 2 objects in the night sky doing maneuvers that no air craft could do... We all know about these and I truly believe. Watch this area, it has some of the most UFO sightings in the country.
My grandkids school had a lockdown because of a weirdo in a clown suit was loitering across the street from her school. Cops had to come and take the guy away so kids could leave school.
More! But, then again, I could listen to Paul read the phone book and enjoy it. His diction is excellent and I'm extremely envious of his R's, being totally unable to roll mine.
Ive only recently discovered your channel ive since watched so many , please don't stop you and your channel is the best thing on here . I love the way you tell the story could listen to you for hrs , keep up the good work 👍
I don't know on the Kinross incident, it just comes off as the same thing as aliens abducting a horse and buggy, from like 300 years ago. Gork! You were right! I was? Yeah, the horse and buggy we got yesterday? Not a lot more interesting than that jet we stole last year. Sometimes, I wonder, though, why we even do these things to the humans. The looks on their faces, Gork, that's why, and you know it! Yeah, their dumb little faces, with their terrified expressions...
John Wayne Gasey even said, clowns can get away with murder. Poltergeist….that was mine. That clown scene, along with many other scenes in that movie, scared the bejeezus outta me!! I was around 10 and have never had any type of clown or clown related items! Dolls, figurines, pictures…nope! Read “IT” and it just reinforces the idea. 👍👍 Why haven’t they used the same DNA family search they use to find murderers to identify those “flesh balls” they found? Seems that would at least determine if they are alive or dead, right? 🤔🤔 ✌️❤️😁
The 2016 clown incidents also happened here in Germany. For many weeks there where sightings of clowns in big cities but also beside the streets in the woods and even footage of clowns chasing people with handsaws. That was somewhat scary...
Hello Paul, I hope you had a nice birthday. I enjoyed your dive into the world of unsolved mystery. I would certainly love for you to include more iceberg videos in amongst your collection of true crime. As always, I hit the like button before I watch the video because I am never disappointed with your work. I recently watched a video that included Havana Syndrome. A most curious ailment that I believe is related to infrasound. It’s unsettling that it can cause permanent brain damage. Maybe I am a dreamer, but I always believed in the kraken. Here there be monsters…. The night doctors and the skin in drains is very disturbing on several levels. There have always been those who prey on the weak, disabled and disenfranchised. The skin could have been the last remnants of a serial killer’s prey. With advances in medical knowledge, the need for bodies is very low, but my uncle donated his body to science to help diagnose a rare heart problem that he had. I don’t know how modern medical schools obtain the bodies they use for teaching. I really hope that this is done humanely. You touched on the UFO phenomenon in the first story. I know Lake Superior is dangerous and known for strange weather events. That could be why nobody has tried to recover the plane or any other debris. Wouldn’t it be interesting if they did, though? Thanks for the video. Looking forward to seeing the next one! ❤😊
As for walking past a manhole cover I always wonder what's down there... The clown sightings, I think, we're just people goofing around. Crazes like this are known in their various kinds throughout European history. Not to say that there weren't some real crazies in clown costumes at the time... Directed energy research is ongoing, as well as research into sonic weapons that operate at frequencies beyond human hearing, but are nasty nonetheless... As for why it was only American officials who were affected just makes this even more of a red flag to me.
Your ending is brilliant, your full delivery as always engaging. This type of story is good as an in between. I prefer to hear about a solved mystery as it eases my mind. Cheers from the Midwest USA.
WOW, Paul!! What a truly fascinating and unique assortment of stories! I think of myself as somewhat jaded when it comes to my usual inability to be creeped out, but you got me GOOD several times with this collection... and all told with that impeccable "Well, I Never!" style. Superb offering for our Halloween weekend; thank you for such thoughtful, captivating content my friend. Happy Halloween!!
I think the first clown sitting was real; In that the woman actually believed she saw a clown. She could have been drunk, high, dreaming, whatever. But I think all of the ones after were your classic trolls and teenages, wanting to jump on the bandwagon to scare residents. As the tales from NC spread around the internet, of course others would join in the troll. And then you had some bad actors, using it as an excuse to hurt others physically. We've seen this play out countless times in human history; Crop circles, bigfoot, UFOs, Men in Black, Headless Horman, Springhill Jack, etc etc. If one person reports something spooky and supernatural, you will inevitably get people ready to debunk it and others ready to spin their own tale for the attention. Still... If I see a clown coming at me, at night... He BETTER be supernatural cause he's probably not gonna be able to handle my fight response. Stephen King cemented my fear of clowns since watching the IT mini-series, back in the day.
@user-rm2rq8fq1l When I first watched the Mothman movie and did some research into the cryptid, I was almost ready to believe he was real, myself! It's still one of my favorite cryptids.
Considering Night Doctors are simply a combination of awful things that definitely existed (and still exist) in humanity, I really don't think it's a far leap to say they were real.
I find your investigations into past crimes fascinating. You go down the rabbit hole for us and come up with intriguing and new insights which keep us enthralled. I would love if you could visit Glasgow one day and delve into the mystery of the Brodie Chapman’s disappearance? Beal

Squids versus clowns ? My money's on the squids.
Would have liked to see a video of that!😂

I'm sorry but that last line really tickled me!

Truth. We’re from the Upper Peninsula. If you don’t like the weather (on land ~OR~ in the lake), just wait 10 minutes. 😬😅
I don’t believe there was a Canadian plane anywhere near the American plane. As per usual, the American government and military lying. 🇨🇦

Ah, my weekly dose of awesome mystery. Wonderful!
Given the level of hate that has come to light in this country,I wouldn't like to see our homegrown nuts given any ideas!
@@boathousejoed1126 Which country?
That would be a cool and creepy, ... well, it could be a series, so much stuff happens at night in the hospitals, it even could have different locations and different topics, sell your idea
If you want to see something similar then watch an episode of circle of fear aka ghost story named "spare parts".Its a tad cheesy and not scary really but it's on a similar vein ,on TH-cam if I remember correctly.
Loved it !!!!👏👏👏I hang on to every word!Well done with your fluency, which comes only from your confidence of your superb research.👊👊👊👍Thankyou.
[Nothing to see here...move on!]
Still, actual, fully dressed live people did have to go into the ocean at some point, whether or not they all went in together, before the currents could do their magic, destroy everything from the ankles up, concentrate the shoes and disgorge them onto beaches.
OK
Still creepy.
Oh, by all means, take another dive! We love this!
Nice change from the type of video you usually do. I enjoyed it very much!
Please make more of these longer videos.
Thank you so much Paul, this is exactly what I need today ❤
Fun thing! The killer clown one I witnessed first hand (I live in one of the named places)
And I was in my school yard, a clown was on the other side of the fence while a whole bunch of kids watched it, some screaming, others tryna provoke it (I was a provoker- lol) eventually the police were called by a teacher tho, I can’t remember what it was but the clown was holding smth (probably a weapon) and standing nearby this woodland area we had at the gate
ive loved all your videos and this one is just as perfect. You are so thorough in your explinations and discussions and take a neutral side to it all, which I love! Thank you for all your very hard work :)
Love your stories. Your voice is so calming. 💖
Brilliant. Yes please more mysteries!
More! But, then again, I could listen to Paul read the phone book and enjoy it. His diction is excellent and I'm extremely envious of his R's, being totally unable to roll mine.
I enjoy both iceberg and singular story videos. It’s always a good day when I see the notification for your videos. Thank you so much!
Awesome Job, awesome stories! I love this channel!!!
Ive only recently discovered your channel ive since watched so many , please don't stop you and your channel is the best thing on here . I love the way you tell the story could listen to you for hrs , keep up the good work 👍
Exactly what I needed today! Happy Halloween!!!
I want to go on a ' clown hunt '. Actually the bank my parents' use is staffed by clowns.
Another awesome video. Thanks so much Paul
Holy crap, the skin story happened in my state 😳
I think it was some sort of either medical waste or a shady funeral home dumping
Still surprising that the tattoo was never identified.
Hopefully . . .
LOVED this! I will ALWAYS be psyched for more iceburgs!!!!!!!🎉
Also, isn't Batman's biggest foe the Joker? Two actors won Oscars for their portrayal of this clown.
Thank You !!
Yes, Cryptozoology is fascinating, I've been interested in all this since Arthur C Clarkes Mysterious World book that I had as a child
Happy tomorrow's birthday, Paul! 😊
Thank you! 😊🙏🎂
your voice always relaxes me i love the stories x
This compilation was incredible! I enjoy all your videos but this one in particular. Yes, please do more videos like this one.
Does that mean we'll all have to endure streaming services advertising "Squidnado Week?" in the near future?
Yes, please do more stories from the iceberg 😊
Great video Paul!
44 minutes?! Heaven! ❤
AND 31 seconds*
Another great video. Thanks
Great stories, Paul. Thank you!
A very nice one again Paul thanks.
Thank you for the wonderful videos always such a pleasure to watch!!!
Great video again, Paul. 😊
I loved this video!
i thought clowns were creepy thanks to the joker from batman.
Why haven’t they used the same DNA family search they use to find murderers to identify those “flesh balls” they found? Seems that would at least determine if they are alive or dead, right? 🤔🤔
✌️❤️😁
This was great! I would enjoy further delvings into the iceberg
The 2016 clown incidents also happened here in Germany. For many weeks there where sightings of clowns in big cities but also beside the streets in the woods and even footage of clowns chasing people with handsaws. That was somewhat scary...
I really enjoyed this. it really gets the gears turning with possibilities.
I really enjoyed this! Thankyou for all your hard work and commitment 😊
More iceberg stories please
Thank you for all the stores you do ❤️
As for walking past a manhole cover I always wonder what's down there...
Really interesting. I would love to hear more of these.
Oh my gosh the ending so perfect lol! I would love more stories like these! Mysteries are so interesting!
Perfect video for Halloween! I love your voice and delivery, you make the content really worth watching
I remember seeing a scary clown punting down the Thames once. This was after the clown scare so we had no idea why.
I’d like to see more of these kinds of stories.
Don’t forget Mothman!!!!!!!!😹🤣😂😅😆😝😜🤪
Beal
These tales are a fine collection of unsolved mysteries. Another weird bit of Americana are the phantom kangaroos!
Yes please! More like this🎉
Right then! More please 😁👍
Wow this was so interesting!👏👏👏👏👏👏
Would love to hear more of these for sure . I for one can't stand clowns never have they scare the living you know what out of me.
Happy early Halloween!🎃
A very Gatsby wallpaper. I love it.
I bet I’ll have a nightmare about giant squids tonight now 😂🙈
I remember the creepy clown panic. Considering it terrorism is extreme but it was creepy.
I love it never a d❤ull day when you watch well I never Paul you and your crew are amazing
