My frame rusted after 3 years and I had to buy a new one.... was not covered. My membrane is still good since late 2019. My 2 housings also cracked was not covered. Still love it and use it every day.
RO/DI water will rust metals fast. Unless it is Stainless steel.
Hi Dave did you fill out a warranty form?
Ah I see it was from May 2022, that was during when the warranty was shorter, its increased to 12 years in the past few months
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner John Lee said it was past the warranty. Cost me like $377
During that time it was 3 years, it has been updated this year to 6 then increased to 12 in May@@vanderhoff66fu

Thank you for this video! Quick question. I know you mentioned to change the DI filter once the ppm gets to high, and depending on the area you are in it could factor the length of time before a change, but what would you say the average time for a DI filter change would be?
Dude you have been so helpful to me over at Devin's power wash in learning our tucker rival system and understanding it now I have to keep up with filter changes and TDS readings
Do you have any videos on how to take the filters out of the silver tubes or the aluminum tubes? How do you open it up take out the filter put the new one in.

@@SteveOthewindowcleaner do you happen to have a link for when it comes time for the proper replacement filter that comes out of that tube and you said some magic lube is that just regular grease or Vaseline or what do you use to put around the rubber?

how do i configure dump valve?
I just measured my tap water and im at 386ppm! Fuck I'm gonna be changing these filters a lot
RO can last a while if the pre filter is changed regularly then change the resin when the TDS is consistently 10 ppm
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner maybe i should have got the bigger one, the lowest I've gotten tds down to is 35
I’ve had my system for about 2 months and it’s already putting out about 3-6 ppm i was wondering what to check to fix that thanks
Hey, to bring that PPM down you will want to get replacement resin, you'll need 1/4 cubic ft but only need to replace once the PPM is 10 or higher windowcleaner.com/products/xero-virgin-resin?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
Why do you not need to backflush your RO?
My 4 stage ettore system had a built in way to backflush at the end of every job.
No need with these, the waste valve is designed that the ratio is always 1:1 and with changing the pre filter regularly that keeps the RO healthy and to last for 2-3 years
I didn’t know I couldn’t dry it out, I just got my system but left the DI open for some reason. Now it’s reading like 50 ppm did it go bad? So now I have to replace?

Why is your Carbon filter skinnier than mine? (We have the same system)
