Just an extra point concerning shield set if you have ATK down here (can be from the level 1 if you gear it to have enough accuracy, Masamoto/Hotatsu are the best if you have them at level 1 collecting dust) 55k HP on Odachi isn't terribly high and I did this on him out of sheer lack of units, if you have a leveled Toragi, it's pretty much the best shield unit(ally protect + higher base HP)
55k shield set with conscript will give you 2 turns, the video didn't showcase this because Fenshi did that much damage, but Conscript could actually have taken another hit there, if you want to make sure and you have a shield set, 60k is better to be sure, the boss can still crit and fuck you over, but you can retry until rng lines up just right. If you reach 90k and can keep that ATK down, I believe Conscript can survive 3 hits. So just a matter of gauging how much time you'll need for your big boi DPS.
Sachi is better than Kinegashi here, as she brings ATK up + Reviver + Stunner, but Kinegashi can be used as the shield set user + reviver, just know you'll have to do a bit of a makeshift team :p but this faction is very doable with this strat!
Correction(for some reason TH-cam blocks me from editing my own post with no rhyme or reason, thanks youtube), Conscript gives you 3 turn, not 2, you may want to push 60k HP instead of 55k as the boss can high roll his damage and just about kill you in 3 hits, 60k is safer, 80k hp lets you potentially push for a 4th hit, cannot confirm nor deny it as I do not actually have a unit with the HP for it in that faction.
Also if you have Ninja I believe it is very possible to not need a reviver, thanks to Ninja's CC capability, that said it's a bit hard to confirm since I simply do not have him. You will need to focus Norog down on wave 2 as you cannot freeze it however, so do keep that in mind.
Yoshi can be used over Sachi as an ATK buffer and double up as a shield set user. I know a lot of people have him from his fragment, I wasn't back to the game quite yet (had a 2year break) so when I cleared this faction I literally had only all rares, Masamoto, Sachi, Fenshi and Riho Bonespear to work with. If people wondered why the hell I was even bothered to use Odachi xD. Another point is if you use Yoshi + Ninja you have more CCs to work with to work through the waves without a reviver. As both options are completely free, I figured I might as well point it out.
I may add a bit more info if more comes to mind, but yeah, this boss is super doable with this strat, even without Riho, Riho certainly helps, but that's because I had no CC outside of stun from Sachi, which literally didn't proc for the whole run I believe lol. Works! I did it with Odachi (Shield), Toragi, Ninja, Kunoichi, and the low lvl champ Jurojin
I love watching Odachi dance to your music while fighting.
I used this strat to do Shadowkin as well - my low level champ was Umetogi(btw, I haven't tried it, but she might be even better tank - ascend her to lv3 ascension and she will receive half the damage). I also used Toragi in shield set, Kinagashi in regen, Sachi in stun and Ninja in CB build.

I just want to say THANK YOU for all your innovative ways of beating dungeons that would have taken forever to get done. I just beat level 21 using your method. I wish there was a way to attach a screen shot. But I used Toragi in a shield set, Ninja, Genbo, Kinagashi level 50 and a Vagabond level 1 no gear, everyone else was level 60. Thanks again and I plan on using the same idea on other level 21 dungeons where it applies.

This is a cool strat, many props for coming up with this one as it is counterintuitive but makes sense as you consider why it works.

The big problem for me in this team is that you use Riho that and about any team with Riho could finish the Crypt 21.
It would be interesting to tell those who have not Riho (e.g about all of us) if there can be a team using this strategy but without Riho .

Soda Dragon, just want to thank you for consistently releasing interesting strategies such as this. Lydia is one of the best champions in the game, but the fact is that most Raid players never make a run at her because of the grind and effort, thus potentially limiting viewership of such videos. The Dueler is IMO the hardest FW boss--it's not a coincidence that Shadowkin, Undead and Lizardmen are my last 3 obstacles to Lydia. I'm reasonably confident I can clear Lizardmen, my final crypt, when it opens tomorrow, but it's good knowing that a potential cheese strategy is available if I can't do it the traditional way

This worked perfectly for me, thank you. Amazing strat! Didn't even need a shield set, just had Toragi going fast and using his A3 with a level 1 slow Conscript. Toragi was able to keep the shield on indefinitely as long as I had him moving fast.
How fast was he?
@@trixplease1871 How fast is who? Toragi or Conscript? My Toragi runs at roughly 240 speed in a regen build. Conscript of course is naked and at base speed. If you are going fast enough or use lasting gifts, you can keep the shield up indefinitely because Conscript cannot outrun the shield buff with his speed.

I only miss 2 stars from Shadowkin and Lydia is mine. But I have trouble without Toragi. He is the current MVP in the faction with his kit.

Shadowkin is my last FWS 21 stage to 3 star (currently 1 starring it), the last hurdle between me and Lydia. I've been failing for weeks, I'm gonna try this strategy when the faction opens up again. I have a different naked uncommon, and I have Odachi and Sachi (no Kinegashi, unfortunately)- and Hotatsu, Ninja and Oboro to round out the rest of the squad. Wish me luck!

I remember one of these for Dwarf 21 awhile back, think it was with hatchet slinger where people were 3-starring it with a level 30 basically naked doing the same thing, but I think he has unkillable to help out. Interesting how the boss can be baited like this.
not sure if soda dragon will showcase my dwarf clear but with Maulie + Hatchet Slinger you can literally tank like 8 hits from the boss in more or less trash shield gear lol, it's very silly, I cleared it with Gala being my only DPS actually.
@@Fearless_Jay Yeah I think I saw it on reddit awhile back, might have been your comp, but I can't remember. Gala is a monster, I was actually able to clear Dwarf 21 before I got a reviver just using her in relentless and she basically got a couple extra turns and 3-4 shot the boss by herself, lol.

it's very doable without Riho, as I said in my pin comment conscript literally would have been able to tank an extra hit, the main issue is mostly the waves but there's definitely ways around it, my gear is mostly garbage on these champs(minus Riho cuz she's really good for DT), if you have NInja to deal with CC this crypt is a freaking joke.

If you were to use Kenagashi, how would you gear him ?
I'll answer since no one has yet answered this, I'd use her as the shield set user of the team, the goal is to fit as many roles on your team members as possible, since his gear aren't 100% important, then shield works well, work heavily on her HP but try to go for ~2.5k DEF if possible.
The turn meter decrease isn't 100% important so you might want to give up on accuracy for more HP instead, the bigger the shield, the bigger the amount of time to get the boss down.

Did you check the affinity? They wont attack him if they are red or have an easy affinity target
