When I push them back with my thumb nail it helps (after soaking in warm water, make sure to do that to soften them to push back), however, we're all different so you can try a gentle cuticle pusher tool, but if they are too long, & need a trim that is where a cuticle trimmer comes in. You need to be very careful, & only trim what's needed. As far as the tears, good cuticle oil, or moisturizing cream should help, if it's due to not having enough moisture. If they are sore, like a big tear I use otc antibiotic ointment till it heals. Just remember if something hurts, don't do it, you don't want to injur yourself! Also, as you get use to it, & find what works for you, it will get easier. Thank you for the support!💜
