    Luckily my patient can eat very soft food. I tried puree food but he wouldn't eat it. He makes a face of disgust after one bite and push my hand away when I tried to give him some more. I am sure that it's not the taste, but the texture that he cannot stand (or a bit of both). So for now all I am giving him are store-bought protein puddings (meal replacement loaded with minerals and vitamins) and very soft food he barely has to chew, like thinly sliced bananas, mashed potatoes with gravy, crushed scrambled eggs, apple and pear sauces, things like that.
    On occasions I even order a burger (well done), remove any sauce that stick to the meat, then put it in the blender to break it down a bit (not puree), then mix with some ketchup, he loves that, with some mashed potatoes.

    Have you thought about showing some meals level 5 mince and moist.?

      Same here I’m back to soft food and looks like I’m heading to liquids again

    Most foods can be blended and sieved giving a consistency which is not always suitable for level 4. Any level 4 process requiring the addition of thickener is falling short of the mark. Thickener added to every dish causes constipation long term.

    What is the consistency like with this pureed food? I struggle with mash and I’ve been put on this diet so I’m worried I won’t tolerate it as I struggle with mashed potatoes

      I have dysphagia, and my foods are mostly IDDSI level 4 including mash. To make the mash with actual potatoes and make them easier to swallow I either add butter or olive oil until I get the correct consistency. I also buy powdered mash, either add hot water or milk to make the correct consistency.

    There's no ingredients listed, as what is being poured into the blenders from the gravy jugs, as with the sausages it looks like gravy, the bacon, a cream sauce, the music is sooo annoying, you need step by step guide with a voice as it's very important to get a L4 correct,
