Everything there is handcrafted, from the jewelry, pottery and textiles to the food and the music. There is a wonderful organic Farmers Market, but avoid the Free Speech Market adjacent to them- a drug haven.
i just stopped for a few hrs on way to bend from florence and was surprised how cute it was. just stopped in downtown area where they have the marketplace

Although I would say roughly over half the population of Western Washington and Western Oregon is vegan, there are no good dining options for vegetarian or vegan diets. It is really disappointing and underwhelming. Florida has much MUCH better vegan dining options and is more affordable.
Great place to live ., do not take your vehicle to asian imports, the taken a part off of an old vehicle and put on a defrent part that didn't match .the painted the part. I ask why it it all painted? The lied and said we alway do that.
Tell about the huge drug problem there and that any park you go to theres needles everywhere and encampments like skinners butte. Just the citizens who live there aren't nice. Everybody looks down on everybody not a good place to visit, go to school or live. If your from out of state you'll get special treatment like your car broken into or stolen or told to get out of their state. Over all Oregon's one of the worst .
This place is sweet... you must have never been to New York or South Florida you'd get your heart broken everyday ..Eugene is a breath of fresh air trust me

Are you all vegan? We're looking to move to the PNW but affordable places there seem to have zero vegan options.
